Uncessary waste of time hating a stranger so hating a fighter is very disturbing .. strong word for anyone or anything , now disliking a fighter is understandable for myself and other fans . I respect anyone that gets in the ring and puts he in health on the line . From A level guys to the lowest pub fighters or D level .. Remember a time just sitting at a coffee shop on Belboulaver in Queens NY talking to old timers and youngsters like myself back then which was great debates between everyone . Oldtimers had some stories that really gave you a different opinion on a fighter you liked or didn't like .. never heard the word Hate from any of them and some of them were contacted . This was the late 80s when there was no internet or cellphones . Off topic if your ever in NY and near Time square go to a bar called Jimmy's Corner the owner was a contender way way back in the day .. Whole place got boxing items and pics of all generation if fighters . Meet Larry Merchant and a ciuple trainers there almost every time I visit the Big Apple . Now I go to BSN haha get into topics like this hahahaha

Its been 2 years since he started fighting again & he's talking Loma, Linares, Thurman, Crawford, Spence, Cotto & maybe a couple other guys I'm not recalling. F#cking fight someone the people are invested in already.
Yeah, that's what we said about Floyd Mayweather at the turn of the century. He was a lightweight calling out everyone from 140-154. No, I'm not comparing the two but it did seem ludicrous back then.

He's outlining his plan, like Mayweather, and doing it step by step. If anything, he deserves some credit. Jumped back into the fire pretty quickly, won a title and then moved up to fight Broner.

He said after this fight that he wanted to move down to 135 and unify against Linares, before jumping back up. Linares is gone, so what is he supposed to do? He's staying at 140, will do what he can and then try and go up to 147.

Well Floyd was still fighting top 5 guys in all these divisions while calling out Oscar & Shane for years. I got no desire to get into another Floyd debate doe cuz I know plenty of Floyd haters reside here & I've had that debate a million times here with cats who act like Floyd never did sh^t. And I mean Floyd fought Genaro Hernandez, Angel Manfredy & Diego Corrales when all had a decent amount of respect. Menawhile Mikey gots the Salido fight....and the Salido fight still & I believe he's 30 now.

I think Mikey could have parlayed himself into a bigger fight by now. And him speaking all these names while Salido is still the best name on his resume is getting tiring to me & it seems other fans of the guy.

To be fair, Garcia also took a couple of years off. And the Broner fight wasn't a given. No one knew if he could take a good shot at that weight (his chin was a question mark even before the layoff) or if he could handle extra weight.

That Broner fight was only two fights ago. He was supposed to be fighting Linares next, but it didn't happen. So now he has to change plans and I'd rather he do what he's doing then go to 135 to fight a Robert Easter.

It's mostly the Alt-Right inbreds. They're scared to death of Mikey for Lomaputa.

"Who the f**k is Baranchyk?" -Inbred Tanner

"I thought Mikey wanted the big fights yet he's gonna fight his mandatory!?!" -Inbred Leaf

Yet these same inbreds loved when Borat fought the Dominic Wades of the world and used the mandatory status as a defense. At least Baranchyk and Relikh are better than Wade.

Maybe Mikey should have guys jump up 2 weight classes to fight him like Borat and Lomaputa did.

Mikey should get his mandatory (Baranchyk) out of the way and then his options are wide open. He could unify with Relikh, unify with the Ramirez vs. Prograis winner (I'm sure the WBC would happily make him the mandatory to that belt since he was the WBC champ at 135), or he could move back down to 135 for the Linares vs. Lomaputa winner. If Linares beats Lomaputa I'm sure Garcia and Linares could work out a catchweight fight at 137.5 with all of their 135 and 140 belts on the line.

Your right. It's ****** to hate him. He has done nothing wrong and has been fighting and beating good opposition. Anybody who wants to fight Spence can hardly be called a ducker.

Mikey had a verbal agreement to face Linares after Lipinets and Linares acknowledged he had an agreement when he responded to Mikey on twitter when Mikey was asking why he's talking to Loma when they already had an agreement to fight. Check twitter and esnews. It's there. It's not Mikey's fault Linares wants to fight Loma instead of him.

For the dumbasses saying he's ducking Loma. Why has Mikey been out for two years? What promotional company he was fighting for in court the past two years? He and Bob Arum do not want to work with each other period. If you don't see that, you are dumb as a rock. If anything, the loma fight happens when he leaves top rank. Mikey nor top rank want to deal with each other with their recent beef.

Also the Robert Easter talk needs to stop. Who actually believes he beats Mikey or at least is competitive? Easter can't even beat world challengers in his weight class. What makes you believe he has a chance against a p4p talent like Mikey? STFU with that dumbass talk and it's mainly coming from the pro black crowd. Mikey beat Broner. Deal with it.

Finally the idiots who want Mikey to fight Spence or Thurman right away. Anyone with common sense knows you just don't jump from 135 to 140 and then fight the top dogs at 147. You gradually move up in weight, see how you feel, and then move up when your body feels ready. Mikey just said one day he would love to fight those guys. That's it. He never said he wants them next.

Please refrain from your lazy ass comments such ass, he's ducking loma, Linares, easter, spence, or thurman and actually argue with something with substance instead of some lazy ass comments i just mention.
Right on man looking at any thread about Mickey I have no idea why he gets so much hate. He has a ton of skill is a very good fighter and he performs at a high level in every fight. He has had a lot of success yet remains humble.Dude gave up 2 1/2 years of his prime to stand up to the powers that be in the sport , just for that alone he gets my respect .WAR Mickey !!!!!!!!!!

I think I've been fair with the guy with the layoff. Like I said I'm a fan of the guy & wanna see him fight the biggest names in the game, but he's 2 years back & he's fighting Lipinets (& I mean I like Lipinets honestly, but Mikey is a couple levels up from him lets be straight).

Honestly I think the best possible fight with the trajectory Mikey's been on & the mindset his team has is Easter. I think these cats are on some Danny Garcia sh^t with trying to max out these easier fights for 1 or 2 million while teasing big fights.

I think Mikey is more into making money then defining his legacy. I've said numerous times I think Mikey is gonna be more successful after boxing then during his boxing career. And fair play to him in doing that. This is a unforgiving sport & if Mikey loses or gets f#cked up in the ring no one is gonna give a f#ck about him except the people on his team + his family now.
