Comments Thread For: Whyte-Browne: Who Stays in the Mix?

Dillian Whyte-Lucas Brown was a late addition to the HBO boxing schedule (Saturday, 6 PM EST) and one that had some folks scratching their head. It shouldn't have. Heavyweight business is always big business. It's bigger business right now. For the moment, Showtime is in the driver's seat on the US airwaves. HBO has bid on Anthony Joshua business before.

If this is the only fight HBO is showing tonight, I'm gonna pass. I have zero interest in Whyte. I thought Chisora beat him. Why is this guy being hyped up? He's not interesting inside or outside of the ring.

Browne is a heavier accurate puncher.

I tip him to knockout Whyte .

I'm rooting on a double KO so it can be both of them.

I think Whyte will easily beat Browne. I wouldn't doubt it if Browne gets knocked out. Browne went life & death with Rudenko. He was dropped & was behind on the cards against a grossly out of shape Chagaev until he gassed. He landed a homerun punch that would not have ended the fight if Chagaev decided to train. He was already set to retire but took the one last pay day. He is easy to hit & cuts often. I see Whyte smashing him up pretty good as I've never been sold on Browne as a contender nor have I thought his power was as lethal as some say. We will find out today what he is made of. Whyte is 29 coming off good wins against Chisora & Helenius. He's got momentum & youth. I can't see anything other than a wide UD or possibly a mid to late round KO of Browne. I give Browne no chance whatsoever. We shall see as I thought the same thing of Stiverne before be beat Arreola twice & Wilder fighting Stiverne. I was wrong on both accounts. You can never be too sure in HW boxing...

Yeah me too... but did you enjoy the fight? I did. Here it is if you want to watch it again http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x551nfl

If this turns out to be even half as good as that it'll be worth the watch

Plus how often do you get a to watch a fight where the brown guy is wh(y)te and the white guy is brown(e)... gonna be fun watching the commentary team struggle with that conundrum lol.
