Comments Thread For: Saunders: When I Face Golovkin or Canelo - You Will See My Best

WBO World Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders believes we won't see the best of him until he steps in with either Gennady Golovkin or Canelo Alvarez. The 28-year-old, who now faces St Helens' Martin Murray on June 23rd after their April 14th clash was rearranged following an injury to the Hatfield boxer, sat down with Behind the Gloves where he revealed he is still waiting to produce a career-defining performance.

Canelo and GG would be missing wildly all night like LeMule was.

Because Canelo and Golovkin can't hold a candle to Andy Lee?

Haha, no. Look man Canelo and G can obviously cut the ring better than Lemieux but the result will be the same.

People forget that SPS never left first gear against LeMule.

Canelo has quick hands though so I can see him landing a lot

Maybe but my thinking is that a jab and proper footwork are more important than fast hands.

Billy is that good. Like the way he skillfully faded in the 2nd half vs Eubank, but still doing enough to get the nod.
All this fawning just because he beat a plodding Lemieux is becoming way too much.
