This is exactly what the division and their potential showdown needs. Wilder needs to go to U.K. and fight Whyte and AJ needs to come to the states to fight Miller. Gain some exposure across respective ponds. Nothing wrong with that. It still gives the fans a Wilder/AJ fight in early 2019. Looking out to year 2020 there aren't any compelling HW fights left aside from potential rematches or Fury entering the mix.

there are a lot of prospects (Dubois, Yoka, Teslenko, Hrgovic...hell, even Joe Joyce is getting a rub lately.) That will likely be thrust into that spot by 2020

It might and that’s one reason it might happen. But I don’t see Wilder lining Hearn’s pockets, or believing Hearn when he says that will bring him closer to a Joshua fight.

Yep. Whyte vs Browne is not an eliminator.

These are both fights I would love to see!

If AJ and Wilder really are the 2 best active HWs they will both win and that will set up a fight between them nicely.

Message to Wilder fanboys - ffs, stop acting like spoilt little bratty children!

"Muuuhh .. I don't want that one, I want that one .. and I want it nowwww!!!"

Hearn will offer UK PPV as it will be a PPV Fight in the UK.Where he will still be the A Side and get the lions share of money. What's the alternative for Deontay ? I then expect Joshua v Miller to be in New York then as long as both win.Hearn and Haymon will assess where this fight should take place by looking at the numbers of both fights ? Then BOOM, Joshua v Wilder,December 2018

Nah, he's not going to the UK. He knows that doesn't guarantee him a shot at Joshua. He'll fight in the US against an American fighter.

I actually don't mind those two fights.

Think about this - after Wilder-AJ our only hope is that fatass Fury gets his act together. Besides that, we'd have to wait for Olympic guys to finally make it to World level.

Joshua is fighting Parker, who's a titlist and not a bad fighter himself.
Wilder just fought Ortiz, a bogeyman who was a top5 guy.

There's no reason why either one of them can't have an "easier" fight before meeting each other next summer.

Plus think about this, Whyte runs his mouth quite a bit. Miller talks even more **** than Fury. How nice would be it if both of them got KTFO so they shut their traps once and for all? Or we can get an upset which would blow the division wide open.

Truly, they're pretty damn good options.
