That would require fighters to have chins and be able to take punches like Holy field, Bowen and a lot of heavies from previous generations. From Ali to Frasier to Holyfield to Bowe. That during that 30 year span there were tons of heavyweights that could take crazy punches and there were a lot of wars between those fighters. Nowadays, probably for the last 10 years or so, all we ever talk about is how it depends on who hits who 1st.

None of these guys have the chins to make it through a war like guys from the past did. It's strange how that has changed. Is it really possible guys hut that much harder now? Do PED's play a part in it? Has the human body changed over that period and simply isn't able to withstand the same amount of punishment? I find it fascinating how different things are now. Watch some classic heavyweight fights from the 70's through the early 2000's, there hasn't been anything like those and no one that could take the punches and beatings like they could then.
