Fight at a super fast clip in those early rounds, use lots of feints. Like others have said, avoid getting on to the back foot at all costs, use the double jab and go to the body! If he can do 50% of that without taking too much punishment he has a shot in the mid to late rounds to take a gassing Joshua out. Realistically Parker has to fight the perfect fight and Joshua has to have a slightly off night. But if you've watched boxing often enough you've seen that happen plenty of times in the past.

No Parker doesnt have all around better skills otherwise that makes him more skilled .....

You didnt do a thread of the actual skill advantages for Parker and want your name on it ......cant imagine why ? lol

Thats bc you are SHOOK and are mad now ........ BRO !
I will make a thread the week of the fight detailing both fighters strengths, weaknesses and how I think Parker can win with the right gameplan... happy?

It's quite possible for boxers to have many skills but a weakness so glaring that a less skilled fighter can take advantage....this is boxing, and any one that thinks the fighter with MORE skills wins is a fool. We just had the least skilled of the HW champions beating one of the most skilled boxers the other week, lucky that guy was old, inactive and gassed lol

Guys like Hughie Fury are really skilled in most areas but lack power to trouble a big HW.... that's how it works sometimes. I think he'll be aforce in 3 years time.

      there are lots of examples.

Joshua has glaring advantages in size, strength and power, and he has a decent jab and a very good left hook, uppercut and straight right counter, his style doesn't have much to it, he doesn't come in at angles or anything like that, because his size is such that he doesn't have to, he doesn't even need head movement because of his guard - and he's wanting you to throw to counter any way.

Parker can do most of everything else better than Joshua, he can come in low and hook up, his jab while moving is far more advanced than Joshua, his lateral movement and foot work is better, and double jab- right hand is much more fluid, he has better and faster combinations up close, better body work, can punch going backwards (never seen Joshua do this actually). Just generally a slicker boxer with a better jab and move style.... there's literally a myriad of things Parker does better than Joshua..... the thing is Joshua's size and power means he has never had to show these skills, his style is highly effective, his sheer size and power forces guys to change their style.

Can Parker get inside and get his shots off without Joshua timing him or using his left hook to flush him out the pocket? Can Parker get in and out without Joshua timing him?

Like I have said numerous times, skills count for little when you are facing a bigger, more powerful guy like Joshua. I have seen enough skills from Parker to where I know he has got them in his locker..... can he use his lateral movement, foot speed advantage to take away Joshua's jab and right hand? can he win the battle of the jab and keep moving long enough for Joshua to slow down?

Joshua nullify's a lot of what Parker is good at due to his strengths, like I said, he forces guys to fight a different way, I cant see Parker getting much inside work done or combinations off, definitely not early. His best chance is the jab and lateral movement and tiring Joshua out, just trying to counter, take him into the second half and I think Parker can take over.

AJ's weakness is his stamina. Parker should jab often and move. Make AJ circle after him. Parker should try to work the body, throw a lot of straight right hands to the bread-basket and control the distance. Try to make him miss often. Of course all of this is easier said than done, but he needs to make an early investment to the body, don't let him breath.

Parker looked pretty athletic against Ruiz and I give Parker the speed advantage. With that said, dont let Joshua set his pace, Klitchko suited Joshua because he fights in the same pace that Joshua likes, so I say start hard, start fast, and tuck that chin. Who knows, Parker may not drop him but could hit him hard enough early that itll mess him up for the rest of the fight. Then Parker can throw some combos...

and as far as chins, at that weight there is no such thing as a unbreakable jaw.
Sure but I'd take Joshua's chin & power over Parker's any day of the week in just some phone booth prime Tyson strategy type fight.

He's fast & all that, but its a 3rd round fun fight for fans, but highly volatile fight for Parker what you are suggesting. I think he can use his speed & combos better by not taking the fight to Joshua. Joshua should want a head to head battle to keep sh^t simple, idk that Parker should.

Idk that Joshua deals well with movement. So I'd make that mfer walk those big a$$ arms & legs all around that f#cking ring for the first 5 or 6 rounds. You'll have a whole other version of Joshua at that point.

Just running about the ring will not tire Joshua, I don't think. Parker is going to have to make Joshua work with some intensity and the ropa dope is not an option, Parker ain't Ali and Joshua is a whole lot more logical than young Foreman.

                Parker by KO
I think you're falling into the 'Joshua is a big stiff robot' trope a bit here because the reality is that at lower weights Joshua has always had terrific hand speed. Probably not quite as quick as Parker's but very fast nonetheless. Parker would probably be able to get 1 shot in and get out but no way would he be able to throw combinations in the pocket on a regular basis without Joshua doing something about it in my opinion. At least not without tiring Joshua out somewhat first.

Parker's SPEED is the game-changer in this fight.
