Actually, you are wrong, bodybuilders inject Clenbuterol. Clenbuterol is actually nicknamed the Hollywood diet because it allows actors to drop weight pretty fast without destroying their builds for action movies. I think the problem for most people who are familiar with Clenbuterol is the sheer amount of meat the fighter in question would've had to ingest within a short period of time in order to have the levels he had result in his test if the meat was actually the problem. He also would've had to consume that meat within 34 hours prior to the test if it was meat. Clenbuterol levels are not accumulative as it would be with other substances because it's not a drug that stays in your system long at all.

it's associated with water loss, so yes, it can mask the use of other drugs by causing a person to lose excess water and thus the traces of the drug or the markers it leaves in the urine or blood.

in canelo's case, given his size and how he sheds weight prior to weighing in, it would probably be used to help him cut weight. then you use something else that's illegal to help you put it back on safely after you weigh in.

what if the edge is being on weight easier and a few weeks quicker? your friends probaby take it to look a certain way. canelo's a pro athlete who needs to peak the night of the fight in spite of probably being at a lower weight than is healthy for him for days or even weeks.

In a sport where stamina is the difference between making it to the final bell or being dropped because you are exhausted something that puts more oxygen in your system and reduces the physical degradation of your mass due to weight loss is huge.
