    Good luck with that.

Had he been defending his titles since 2015, he could have racked up five easily by now if not six and be way closer to that goal, but I can't see it. I don't see any of the current champions even getting close.

He broke the record of the only champion ever to retire without making a title defense.

He's had two fights in the last three years. I don't think this merits a discussion. 0-defense champion vowing to break Joe Louis' record on the back of 2 years off. lol

There is NO way this guy can stay focused enough or in shape to make 25 defenses. He's a decent fighter, but he's a head case.

Tyson Fury would have to win a belt in 2018, then defend the title at least three times a year for the next nine years to break Joe Louis record, and it still would not be the same because Tyson would be 38 years old by then ; Joe Louis was only 34 years old when he set the record.

Nobody is making 25 lineal defences in this era.

They dont fight enough. If you take away the 4 year gap (with just one 4 round exhibition) for WWII, Louis made all his 25 defences in about 7 years.

Thats and average of just over 4 fights a year.

Its not going to happen. Wlad was about as dominant and dedicated as they come, he fought often for a big star in this era, and he was still many fights away from breaking the record, depending on when you believe he won the title, despite dominating for as long as he did.
