In reality, his trainer should expect to get the boot.

When was the last time you heard a trainer say something negative about a boxer they’re still working for? Haha

Anyway, I do believe there’s a chance for Felix to get back on track. One loss does not a career make. The kid has been unfocused and inactive. It’s not a shock that he dropped his first fight at this time. Let’s see what Verdejo does going forward.

Felix Pendejo is starting to develop a Juanmaricon Lopez chin.

His chin is too weak, stick a fork in him.
You didn't watch the fight did you, conditioning was his biggest issue

Conditioning and his chin. This isn't the first time he's been hurt by these kind of guys. Ever since 2016 I knew he wasn't it for us. He's struggling with guys that Cotto and Trinidad destroyed when they fought them. I'm done with Pendejo, this Saturday only confirmed what I thought back in 2016 forward.

I'm good with it, there are plenty of Puerto Rican prospects and contenders. Manny Rodriguez, Jesus Rojas, Alberto Machado, Joseph Adorno, Christopher Diaz, Danielito Zorrilla, Subriel Matias Matthews, Miguel Cruz, Danny Garcia, Tito Acosta.

We've got plenty of guys to watch and see develop. I'm done with Felix Pendejo though.

I dont think his chin is an issue. I just think his opponent punches hard, and Felix couldnt get away from those long jabs. He was eating them in round 1 all the way up.

Were Trinidad or Cotto getting hurt by these kind of guys consistently when they fought these kind of fighters?

I think he's going to end up like Juanma. Once he steps up he's going to keep getting KO'd.

We've got plenty of prospects though so I'm looking forward to see how they develop and see who comes out to the fore front from that group.

Honestly man, Cotto was hurt early in his career, and Trinidad hit the canvas multiple times in his career. But as for Verdejo recent opponent, the dude was an unknown fighter from Mexico. And he was very imposing. He had a great jab, rock solid chin, and definitely carried power. I definitely seen flaws in Felix though, like resorting to the same tactics and never adapting or have a plan b or c. He would never put more than 2 punches together. And thats where his recent opponents figured him out. My favorite guy in Pr is Jesus Rojas. And I think Pitufo has potential to be a star. And I agree, unless Felix shows some kind of next level will power, his confidence took a big hit. Hard to come back from a ko stoppage

Yeah, all I'm saying is that with these kind of guys Verdejo has been struggling with on a "consistent" basis, Cotto and Trinidad were destroying them. Sure we've seen Cotto hurt and Trinidad dropped, that was against a higher caliber of quality fighters they were in with. At this same stage of their careers Trinidad and Cotto were 24-0-20 KO's and Cotto was a champion at the time, Verdejo 23-1-15 KO's.

Verdejo has struggled with guys like William Silva, should have knocked out Jose Luis Rodriguez, struggled with Oliver Flores and obviously real badly against Lozada. If we're being honest, Cotto and Trinidad would have destroyed these guys. These type of guys wouldn't have heard the final bell against Trinidad and Cotto.

I like Jesus Rojas also, Pitufo Diaz has potential, I agree. We've got a lot of contenders and prospects to watch Manny Rodriguez, Alberto Machado, Joseph Adorno, Subriel Matias Matthews, Danielito Zorrilla, Miguel Cruz, etc, etc.......there's a bunch of guys to keep our eyes on.
