Floyd tiptoed very carefully thru his boxing career to maintain that 0 and the aura of him being undefeated is his biggest claim to greatness and fame at this point. Regardless if it happens in a boxing fight or mma fight, if Floyd loses (as unfair as it is) his reputation and mystique will take a great hit. Ppl will crush him and all those haters that have wanted to see him finally get his a$$ kicked would get their wishes. No way Floyd gives them that opportunity by going to the best league of a sport that he will be picking up for the first time at 40 yrs old. Why would he fight his whole career to have the advantage in his fights only to go fight in a sport where he is at a disadvantage in almost every aspect? I call shenanigans on this one!
Yea undefeated in the boxing ring.

Floyd losing in MMA won't affect his boxing legacy

Floyd's hand game is more like 1,000 compared to those MMA goons.

I can't believe how ****** so many people are. Why the heck is everyone convinced Floyd Mayweather will turn down a guaranteed $100 million??? That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Oh, no, Floyd don't want to lose, not for even for $100 or $200 million. His poor ego couldn't take it. All he wants is attention.

No, this isn't about craving attention, anymore than when Arum or Hearn or ODLH is talking to the media. They all just crave attention. Nothing to do with getting people interested in fights. Nothing to do with making money, they all just want the attention.

This is what happened over a couple years leading to their boxing match. Remember when Connor started training, released a couple videos teasing. He got a boxing license, garnering headlines everywhere. Little teasers, while getting the business side of being able to be in an MMA fight is common sense. Start training, get a license. It is all about building the fight, getting people interested in it and keeping everyone interested in it. And yea, I don't think Floyd values his 0-0 record as an MMA fighter enough to turn down a nine figure payday for one fight. That's some of the dumbest **** I've ever heard. "Nah, that guy has to much pride to be in a fight he will probably lose even if it would pay $100 or $200 million." I don't care how much money someone has, no one turns down that kind of money.

I agree with ya to extent. I'd have to say the advantage for Floyd is the MMA stance is a wide open arms at side holding hands up just outside the body. That would leave a counter punchers chance in the ring with a wide open head. Look at Rousey and McGregors losses punches between that wide open stance. like most people in the world I'm watching it if it ever does happen.
