Personally I'd rather pay $10/mo for a PPV fight a month instead of $80 to $100 twice a year. And if they show the other fights that are on the cable network (like ESPN+ shows all the ESPN fights or in theory if HBO PPV did this they showed all the HBO fights too) this could potentially be how things work in the future.

Just my 2cents on the possibilities here cuz I do think streaming is the future of viewing sports due to the ability to personally customize it as people want to do more now.
Soccer matches are gonna make ESPN some money

Showtime and HBO come with great shows and movies. ESPN doesn't have a great content selection these days m in my opinion.

So that 10 for Showtime gets me more than just boxing. I love watching shows like Billions or the Chi.

Maybe i should plug the cord back in and just go back to cable. It'll probably be cheaper
Hook up the old school antenna to your roof you would be amazed how many free channels you get if you live close to an big city. Seems like people either forgot or just think nothing decent is free anymore.

This is a terrible Idea. HBO and showtime (especially showtime) has all the boxing talent and they don't ask you to pay an extra $4.99 for a particular event. This just sounds like Bob being greedy as usual smh. I pay enough for boxing on Fox sports 1, ESPN, Showtime, HBO etc to then turn around and pay another $4.99 a month for a PHONE APP. Who told these idiots boxing fans like to watch fights on our small @$$ phone screens anyway???
            EPIC FAIL

Hopefully the app allows you to mirror your phone/tablet to your TV.

I've been waiting for the ESPN app to come out because I don't have a cable box. But now from what I understand they won't be showing live events on ESPN/ESPN 2 so I really don't see the point of me getting this app. I thought it was gonna be like the Showtime app.

                      Doesn't sound like it.
