Made a move by now? He retired around 5 months ago lol. And bellew is his target and he was supposed fight while back against haye which got set back and now comes up in couple months. So he can just chill out and relax for bit and then get the bellew fight done few months.I'm not entirely sure, he was making noise about coming back a little while ago but I feel like if he was serious he'd have made a move by now. He might be set on being retired, but more likely he can't make his mind up. Even though it's not like Ward made Mayweather levels of money, I'm sure he has enough to live the rest of his life in comfort if he wants to.Comment

So Ward was champ at 175. Instead of unifying with Superman, Ward wants to Superman's scraps? Are you serious? That's the biggest b**** move I've seen in a while. It sounds like Ward "retired" so he could duck Stevenson.
Its that one punch ko power, no one wants to fight anyone like that. Hey, at least Bellew stepped up to the challenge and fought Stevenson. But even a 40 year old Adonis is still too much for Ward. I was a big fan of Ward, but there just is no way to justify this. It honestly makes him look scared s***less. Dang, even Bellew admits, "yea, if Ward takes me seriously, he will beat me. He's better than me, no doubt." Is that how they are going to promote this? A top fighter against a third or fourth tier fighter? That's the plan? I don't know if fans in the U.K. will pay to see one of their own receive a boxing lesson from Ward, but I do know not many in the states will.Comment

If Bellew loses to Haye, I don't think that'd be a deterrent for Ward. Bellew has already been KO'd by Superman. Ward just don't want anything to do with Stevenson. I guess Ward just sees Bellew as easy money. Haye ko'ing Bellew won't change that. Ward would still want Bellew.Comment

I think this has more to do with cycling than any fear of Stevenson tbh. He's been talking about US for a few years now.If Bellew loses to Haye, I don't think that'd be a deterrent for Ward. Bellew has already been KO'd by Superman. Ward just don't want anything to do with Stevenson. I guess Ward just sees Bellew as easy money. Haye ko'ing Bellew won't change that. Ward would still want Bellew.
I suspect he's been putting on pounds through drug use.Comment

He hasn't really bulked up much at all though. Against Kov, Ward didn't look much bigger than his fights at 168.
You could be right though. Honestly, I think almost every professional fighter uses peds. "You ain't trying, if you ain't cheatin'" as the saying goes.
And it does explain why Ward would not want to face Adonis. He's got that WBC strap which requires year round VADA testing. It does seem like a lot of fighters seem to pass on trying to win the WBC belt since they started their clean boxing program. And how could Ward stay active and stay at 175 without fighting Superman? That's all anyone and everyone would want. So, he solves that problem by retiring only to return to gather Adonis's scraps. Which would also explain why Ward is talking Bellew and not the winner of the WBSS who will be the undisputed CW champ with all four belts. Because one of those belts is the WBC, which requires year round ped testing.
Yea, you're probably right. I just don't like to admit it, cause I've been a pretty big Ward fan, until he started with this nonsense about fighting Bellew. But yea, if he is juicing that would explain everything really.Comment
