Its boxing. It's been like that for years. People cheer for fighters who look like them.

Now hating on a fighter because he's a different skin color that I will agree is racist.

When someone views their race as superior and always tend to hate on any other race is what's racist. We all inherently root for the people we relate too. They once did a study they had a bunch of young white kids and black kids watch basketball with one team being all white and one being all black the white children rooted for the whites and vice versa, i believe it's just natural

Nationalism I don't care for but understand it somewhat but rooting for based on color is racist. Then there's the disgusting individuals that hate based on race or nationality. They aren't real fans of the sport IMO and watch it for a deeper reason than what they try to perceive.
