Sadly, threads like this are necessary. People will call for a particular fight. The guy they root for gets smashed, and then all the excuses come flying in.

So lets get them out of the way now.

I wanted this fight because Loma beat a super bantamweight. Loma is moving up in weight and fighting the most consistent top guy in that division. No reason for any excuses.

I am picking Lomachenko but I think it'll be competitive.

I have only seen a few. I think people are being more calculated now instead of outright saying he'll lose like they did Walters and Rigo.

He is however fighting a lightweight though which people demanded on December 10th but I don't think he'll get credit for that because even though Linares is the clear #1 the detractors will point to Robert Easter after the fight despite the fact some of those people (like Robbie for example who will say this) were saying Lomachenko was cherry picking a fight with Easter because he was asked a question "Easter said he'd like to fight you. Would you fight him", to which he said "Yes. I'll fight any champion". Also people said he and Arum would never fight Linares or a fighter from another stable.

In short. Boxing fans are ******, hypocritical and biased. Perhaps more so than any other sport.

I saw people (who picked Rigo heavily) on various social media say he's ducking the welterweight division already a few months ago.I don't know if that's the most casual fans ever or the types that lick windows on public transport. Some post here too no doubt.
