Canelo tested positive for a BANNED substance. Let the suspension begin, period! How the banned substance got into his system is a different argument and separate from the two failed drug tests. Even if it can be proven that how it got there was a criminal act should have no bearing on the fact he had a banned performance enhancing drug in his system, period. Boxing is way to dangerous to allow this baloney. It appears now the excuse is nothing more than carelessness of the Canelo team. Tens of millions dollars on the line, everyone in the industry aware of the tainted meat in mexico and Canelo's team did nothing to protect their fighter? Now Canelo fans complain the GGG and the world should ignore the positive results. Why test at all then? Oh by the way looking at it from another perspective you could say that the tainted meat excuse is a perfect cover up for a juicing fighter when they're caughtLast edited by bluemax; 03-14-2018, 10:17 AM.

Either Canelo is stupid or this is a smoke screen and he got caught.

The damage is not done this early. He got caught in Feb. That will be like 80 days from actual fight.
We could speculate maybe GGG used to do PED's?? I mean he went from a Killa knocking EVERYONE out to now going 12 rounders. Age?? Better competition??? Peds??? IMO probably a LOT of boxers try and get the edge 1 way or another.

a high profile fight that would have continued even a guy failed a test, and this pretty much proves it. Whats shocking is the boxing orgs shuckin and jivin for Canelo and blatantly lying to the public about how innocent he is. disgraceful. why not just admit your boy is a damn cheater but too much money is on the line for the fight to be cancelled.
disgrace

The fact that the WBC has rushed forward to clear Clenelo before an investigation really shows me how crooked and partial they are.
Clenelo thought they had a foolproof fallback with the meat excuse but they underestimated their the common sense of the boxing fans around the world.
