It's the first time this has happened to Canelo in a long career.

I'm sure he wasn't on the lookout for it because it had never been an issue before.

Ok, i guess it hasn't happened to him. But I imagine Canelo's ear is way more to the ground in the boxing world than mine is and even I knew the meat in mexico can be tainted since its come up like at least half a dozen times before. He should know. Especially when you probably have someone briefing you about the "rules".

And i'm sure it's been said but i want to reiterate, CANELO IS A MILLIONAIRE MANY TIMES OVER. He should be able to pay for a diet that's been checked over at this point is his career.
Makes you think if it was just case of bad meat and he couldn't afford or didn't have access to better that it would've come up at least some other point in his career.

I'm not outright calling him a cheater because we don't know for sure. I never have up to this point. I have tons of respect for him as a fighter and I think he's great. But man this is fishy.

In the end, when they finish the investigation we can talk and publicly and provide the details of the situation. They are preparing well because the fight will happen. What happens, is people do not understand that a fighter is not on a diet all year, he is only on a diet when he is preparing for the fight. This is what is happening here, he was not in training, he was not in his camp and he did not take care of the diet."

i'm very aware he isn't in camp all year. Or monitored all year on his diet. like i said, the food is mexico will blow your brains out its that good (and i'm sure mexico agrees). I personally wouldn't be able to stay away from it. But you're an athlete, man...even if it is innocent (which i hope it is!!!!!!) you gotta be more careful...you don't wanna be giving anyone any excuses.

The Canelo issue has been dealt with. But it seems the GGG team are the ones who never seem to STFU. Like Canelo's people have indicated, GGG and team are the ones who are the most worried, just judging by how they can't seem to pipe down and just train for the best Canelo. Because Canelo will be an even bigger puzzle for them to try to solve this go around. Maybe Sanchez will finally figure out how to teach GGG to stop following Canelo around the ring, and instead cut the ring off. Can he do it? I have doubts. One thing for certain though, IMO at least, this will be a great fight for the fans to check out. Can't wait.

Why would a boxer in training for a big fight be eating on the street or in some random restaurant when he knows places like that could be using tainted meat and he's being tested by VADA?

Not just some random restaurant only. There was NUMEROUS NICE hotels, resorts that had tainted meat also. Back in 2011 lots of athletes got popped for eating at their team hotels.
