With today's rules of weighing in 32 hours before the fight I think he could do that. Heavyweights weigh in full of food and water in clothes because there is no weight limit. He weighed 214 for Ortiz so I think he could get down to 200 for the weigh in and be about 220 on fight night. His size, reach and power could win him a cruiserweight belt.

The man is skin and bones as it is, he can't drop to 200lb.
And if he does, that power will be gone, because that kind of weight loss on that frame will just sap all of your energy.Comment

It's gonna be hard to drop that weight to make the division limit for him. He's in great shape for his fights.
Plus.. why? CW has really skilled fighters, but none of them are popular. He'd be risking everything - his reputation, his healthy, his career. Don't see that happening at all.Comment

I'm guessing guy like Dorticos are weighing about the same as Wilder is now BUT why would Wilder want to move to a division that paid less? Also, he'd me moving to a division where guys are quicker and harder to hit. Not seeing much upside unless guys in the HW division suddenly started finding Deontay's chin and it gets dented.Comment
