We the fans focus on Weekly Ratings while the Network are far more focused on their Sub numbers and their Numbers are growing both Network and Digitally and that is really all they care about

Let the Networks worry about the Ratings and just appreciate the fights they're making possible...or don't who cares

If Showtime wasn't happy with their Numbers they would be having Cutbacks instead of adding more fights to the network this year
I just dont see the correlation in Paying the Fighters-Ratings-then Showtime making profit back from it.Mayweather-Mcgregor is the Optimal of why Showtime are in Boxing, for events like that. These 500,600K Ratings are just Poor for what they put in,It wont be long till you see cutbacks then what ?

Clearly YOU don't understand how it works and that is fine, I'm not expert on it either I will let the EXECS do what they get paid a lot of money to do what they do best but Showtime seems to be happy with the direction they're going with their "BAD RATINGS"

Doesn't sound like they will be cutting back anytime soon so I will just enjoy the boxing they're offering as I do with the rest of the networks when they show good match ups

I'm not a professional in entertainment or television, but from the way things have progressed at Showtime, it's seems like they have some data that shows boxing is reaping gains for their network. I bet a fair amount of their app users are boxing subscribers. As of January 2018, the Showtime app has 2 million subscribers by itself. Furthermore, Espinoza was promoted to head of all of Showtime Sports, not just boxing. I think that's due to their app sub growth being driven by boxing viewers. (Or at least contributing substantially).

At $11/month, even if only 25% of their app subs are from boxing viewers (which seems likely) that's another $66 million to their top line annually.

I suspect, the boxing viewers are a larger % of their app subs though (this is pure speculation, based on sound bites from new articles.)

Wow he lost over a quarter of a million viewers? Almost 30% less?

Fans already fed up with the Garcia, all bark and no bite manipulation of the public. Keep talking the elite names and then face some unknown dude again and again.

Talking Cotto facing Zlaticanin, talking Crawford + Lomachenko, facing Broner, talking Spence, Thurman, Crawford, Loma and facing Lipinets.

              Yeah what he said.
Showtime was up against ESPN. I was forced to choose. I chose Mikey Garcia vs Sergey Lipinets, well actually my pops did! Because we knew ESPN Deportes was going to replay Valdez vs Quigg on Thursday.

Broner was always good for ratings, everyone wants to see a train wreck!

Now that Mikey Garcia is world champion in four weight classes. Watch his stock rise,,,,,,,,,,,,Haters!
