Thurman's previous fight, the rematch vs Stiverne didn't touch Broner's number. I would say Broner still is there biggest draw but if he loses to Vargas that title would be gone. Still a fight getting less than 700k views on Showtime isn't a great number

        Garcia-Judah 1.1 mil peak

Showtime had a good run late 2013 and 2014 then it went downhill when a lot of good fights were taken to PBC channels
        Yeah I’m New to boxing

The article you posted is for Garcia / Hererra which did 1.1 peak up 26% from Garcia / Judah

I agree they had a good run 2013/2014 but I don’t think showtime was consistently beating HBo numbers

But this year might be different

I still remember a few years ago when showtime was beating hbo’s numbers with Broner Danny Garcia, Matthysse, etc. Back when Haymon was working with GBP they had that run in 2014 where they were getting well over a million views all the time.
Totally different world in 2014. Wilder-Ortiz was the first to crack 1mm in 3 years

I never paid for Showtime during this period, so I think you're mistaken (i know because I was in school). I definitely watched all of those fights without ever paying for the Showtime package. When Floyd signed that deal, they started a free window where you could watch boxing on the main network for free. That's when I first started watching on Showtime more than HBO.

Even now, I don't pay for their bundle. I just use the Showtime app for $11/month. You may not remember because you've probably had it as a part of your cable package through that time period.

Constlently competing is a better term. Then showtimes ratings went to shiet. So did hbos. And the last couple years showtime has putnon a lot of good cards and the ratings don’t reflect it while hbo has out on mostly trash and the ratings have reflected that.

Stop releasing HBO and showtime numbers unless it PPV! Most ppl do not have showtime or HBO and are not going to join an subscription just to watch one fight! Now PPV is an different story. Releasing HBO and showtime numbers is like an country club releasing it's attendance for their banquets it's an close event! Most ppl under 30 don't even have cable anymore, let alone premium cable. I am more interested in the fights views on youtube the day after lol.

                  Shattered a lot of excuses

A cuban fighter was part of the highest rated fight in 3 years..... A lot of people have used this as an excuse to duck. Abel Sanchez comes to mind

"The next big star in boxing"

His ratings against Broner can be flushed down the toilet and omitted as that was clearly Broner.

I can already tell a fight with him and Lomachenko is going to be hard to make cause Mikey thinks his an A-side fighter and will want to be treated as such when the reality says otherwise.

Keep in mind, Arum said the same thing about him. He just hasn't resonated with the Mexican fan base. Or the American one for that matter.

low ratings but that's because ESPN had the much better fight. Everyone was watching the Valdez fight. Mikey needs another big name nobody knew or cared about Lipinets. None of his ratings have been big on Showtime except when he fought Broner. Meanwhile Broner has drawn big ratings even last year without Mikey example the Granados fight.
