Mikey Garcia's victory over Sergey Lipinets didn't draw as many viewers as Garcia's win against Adrien Broner in his previous fight. Garcia-Lipinets was watched by a peak audience of 689,000 and averaged 618,000 viewers Saturday night, according to ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. Garcia-Broner peaked at 937,000 viewers and averaged 881,000 on July 29.

Showtime's ratings have been trending upward, that's a great sign. A couple years ago, anything above 400K was seen as amazing.

I agree, I've been watching via the app lately. Couldn't stay up for this fight though. The card aired at 1:15am ET. Too late for a predictable scrap imo.

This shows me that Garcia needs Linares or Lomachenko! If Linares vs. Lomachenko gets signed, I think Mikey should call up Danny Garcia ASAP!

Lipinets isn't a name at all. Even though Mikey was moving up to fight a champion in a bigger weight class, people just weren't hyped up about this fight at all and claimed he was cherry picking.

Actually they said the numbers are going down. They said mikey did 250k more viewers in his last fight vs Broner and they said wilder doubled mikey’s Ratings the week before.

I still remember a few years ago when showtime was beating hbo’s numbers with Broner Danny Garcia, Matthysse, etc. Back when Haymon was working with GBP they had that run in 2014 where they were getting well over a million views all the time.
