You can talk about them windmills all you want josh but it can quickly end you and hearns money train $$$ lol.Comment

The right hand that dropped Ortiz in the 5th sure looked straight to me lol
The shots in the 10th that landed also were pretty solid (couple were wide).
Somebody point me to a clip of Wilder actually landing one of the "windmills" to set up anything. I don't think I've seen that happen yet. He usually throws those weird overhand shots after the other guy has already been caught by a solid punch.
It's more about fans talking crap for humor, but I would assume AJ is just poking fun here b/c Wilder's right hands and left hooks look much more lethal than anything Parker has ever put together.Comment

Now, while those aren't just wild throws, they're looping punches. Like the windmill is warming up. This is the only example where he's done that vs. a straight right.Comment

Those aren't windmills. I could pull some clips of a guy like Shavors actually dropping guys with overhand punches.
But anyway, I'm just noting that this "windmill" talk isn't all that important b/c he's clipping guys with a straight right that's faster and sharper than any shot I've seen from the other guys.Comment

He dropped him with a straight right followed by a left hook. After Washington stands, Wilder hits him with the looping shots. Nothing overhand.

The whole "windmill" isn't just about the aftermath. It's looking at how he throws punches in general. Anything that's a looping punch from him is going to be considered the start of a windmilling sequence.
I'm simply pointing out that of what he has done, this is the only close example of what you're describing, and it's not full windmill status, but it's sloppy enough to be considered his worst offender.Comment

That left hook is a looping left hook. A precursor to a windmill. Sloppy, unrefined, compared to guys like Charlo, etc.
