how is it a toss up? easter just isnt that good. he went life and death with commey and shafikov and just lost to fortuna. those guys are all solid but mikey seems far better than them

I actually like this fight. Somebody needs to get in Mikey’s ear and make him realize this weight jumping isn’t doing him any good. He will fail, and fail miserably if he attempts to fight as a welterweight. He’s at his best at lightweight, and that’s where Lomachencko is. He needs to fight Easter, and then hopefully that sets up the Lomachencko fight after he disposes of Linares.

I wouldn't hate that if Linares vs Loma weren't fighting in May. Right now we can probably line up Loma vs Mikey (I don't see Linares winning) in Aug/Sept & it be Mikey's next fight.

If Mikey vs Easter fight thats probably not gonna be scheduled til Aug or later with PBC's current schedule so that means Mikey vs Loma doesn't happen til Dec or 2019 probably. F#ck that. And hell Loma vs Linares & Mikey vs Easter are both fights I think are gonna be won pretty easily by Loma & Mikey so who gives THAT much of a f#ck about Mikey vs Easter happening if we can go right to Loma vs Mikey? Not me.

I disagree. I'd usually agree with people saying Arum works like he works & I'm usually on your side of this. This time is different though.

Beating Mikey would help Loma get even more mainstream attention & a nice name on his resume. And I think Mikey would fight on ESPN or wherever. He's a free agent. Mikey is a businessman who can fight right now just like Floyd was during his post-Oscar years. And Arum is a in house guy, but I think he gambles all the time, usually on far lesser fights doe, with non-TR & un-optioned guys when its a good gamble to make. This would be one of those good gambles.

The upside is worth it & I believe Loma would be heavily expected to win. That would get Arum doing unusual sh^t vs his normal blueprint I'm willing to bet.

I think once Mikey lands at 135 a Loma fight gots to happen for the benefit of both guys. And its sh^t or get off the pot time for Arum with making Loma more mainstream & a Mikey W helps that.

The juice will be worth the squeeze here for Arum. Usually its not.
