The lightweight champion of the World Boxing Association, Jorge Linares (44-3, 27 KOs, 32 years old and Teiken Boxing Gym of Tokyo), has been in Japan since February 27. He arrived in the country a few weeks after his decision win over Filipino challenger Mercito Gesta at the Forum in Inglewood, California in late January

Maybe this actually happens? 2018 is becoming one the best of this decade! It would be great for Mikey if this happens because he can simply focus on the winner! If Loma faces Beltran, then there is a big decision to made! I don't see Mikey fighting at 135 more than once in 2018!

This one is going to be good!! Linares has the speed, skill and size to make it very interesting, but ultimately, Loma will figure him out and ultimately get the w. Probably a UD. 9 to 3 or thereabouts.

Feeling better. I always thought that Linares wanted this, and that Lomachenko could care less who he fights so long as it was someone respectable. When you have the fighters wanting it to happen, it usually does. Promotions, sanctioning bodies, and television deals can be worked out.

Linares deserves this chance. I think Lomachenko wins going away, but this will be a serious challenge. I do not see Linares quitting on his stool or during the round as recent Loma victims have. Linares will earn his payday and go after Hi-Tech. I just think Lomachenko has more utensils in the tool box.

I don't know the lower weights much compared to everything super lightweight+ ...but how is a guy who is in pick em fights with kevin mitchell and anthony crolla and luke campbell going to beat a guy whos supposed to be p4p one of the greatest and future first ballot HOF in the making, crolla is absolute trash slow as mollasses and wasn't even the best at his weight in Manchester never mind in England/UK, and obviously Linares has a good few losses on his record already so on paper looks like a given for loma to me, imho

Set up that mandated fight with Mikey Garcia already.

You both have nothing scheduled as of now.
