Comments Thread For: Finkel: Hearn Not Telling Truth About Stalled Joshua-Wilder Talks

Shelly Finkel isn't interested in a childish name-calling contest with Eddie Hearn.

The only thing that interests Deontay Wilder's co-manager, as it pertains to Hearn, is making a Wilder-Anthony Joshua fight. Finkel isn't nearly as certain Hearn, Joshua's promoter, wants the same thing.

They should unify the heavyweight title as soon as possible. Hearn needs to stop d1cking around after the Parker fight.

The sad part is that Hearn knows he is saying stuff that AJ fans want to hear.

They wont dare fact check because they know what time it is deep down but can't admit it.

They gave Martin 8.5M, Wlad even more than that.

But they can't equitably share what is easily a $100M pot?

"And for someone who’s so old school, when I was negotiating with [Eddie Hearn] for the Klitschko fight, it was OK because every time we got off the phone he called his father about what to do. Barry is a class act. Barry is someone I know for 30, 40 years.”

Hilarious lol that was an OG move. I like Eddie, but its time to stop playing around with this one. This the HW fight I've been waiting on my whole adult life lol

Don't know why Wilder's team is making it so complicated.

            It's so effing simple.

In all of boxing history, the B-side don't get to dictate terms. If Wilder wants the fight, then go by the rules of the game, not insist on making it look like you're some goddam fighter they can't live without.

Accept the terms, and if you beat the guy, then you can set your own terms in the rematch. Offer him 10% if you want.

            So simple.

This was funny lol it's called negotiations for a reason. How do you think Floyd got $25 million against De La Hota? How did Hagler get more money than Leonard in their fight? How did Cotto get $15 million for Canelo?

There are many instances where the "b-side" negotiates on terms.

Some of you have taken that Mayweather lingo too far lol

Floyd didn't get $25 mil in the Hoya fight. So stop overinflating the figures. In fact, he was offered $20 mil in the rematch. How does that tally?

Cotto was the A-side in the Canelo fight. The venue became the issue in the end, not the money. Not only that, Canelo team was the beggar in that fight.

Look, Hearn doesn't appear to be budging, and he threatens to make a debut fight in the US for Joshua without Wilder in the picture. So who else is Deontae going to fight next in the interim? He might even lose.

But let them insist on their ****** terms doe. Let's see what happens.

Hearn thinks the fight can still be bigger. When you think about it, Hearn can have Wilder fight 2 of his guys (Whyte and Joshua). He can make money twice off of Wilder! Why wouldn't he rather have Wilder vs. Whyte, Joshua vs. Miller, winners face each other? He controls 3 (Joshua, Whyte, and Miller) out of 4 fighters! I just want Joshua vs. Wilder now, an it would be really nice if Charlo faced Brook on the undercard!

Cotto was the A-side? lol that's rich

You're clearly somebody who doesn't know the sport that well. Just Google some of your claims and you'll see that you're wrong. Not providing links for you. Btw, so we're clear the minimum purse isn't the final purse. That may be the source of your confusion.

And barring injury Wilder isn't losing to anybody not named Joshua lol let that go
