His "basic" style if actually one of the most effective boxing styles to have because the basic look comes from him using the basic fundamentals of boxing, which is in fact very effective against 99% of boxing styles because boxing is a scored based, round by round, combat sport. So if you know the basic fundamentals of boxing, and actually use it, you're better doing something that goes over the head of the majority of boxers, and fans too.
