That's cute and all but those are tournaments being watched worldwide with worldwide participation, with a handful of games, and very small rosters.

Regular high school games, with regular teams, with regular high school athletes, routinely draw thousands of people to their games across practically any city in the USA. It takes the international scene to organize a worldwide tournament to come anywhere close to the interest shown in a regular high school football game.

Put it this way, there are more boys and girls in America playing school based sports than the entire population of the UK.

You're showing you know **** all about what you're comparing. You don't realise how big soccer is over here in England (Scotland has their own leagues). 30 million tickets were sold for pro games in 2010. 13 mil for Prem league games and 17 mil for the 3 divisions below (called Football League). Then there's all the european matches/international/semi pro leagues.

Get outside your country and you'll see you know nothing.

Oh i understand. It's you that's using it as excuse but then turning around and saying other countries can't. Which is utter bull****. America dominated the sport when they had more interest in it than anyone else, now other countries are interested and competing you aren't as dominant. So you have to use excuses. It's the American inferiority complex. You can't dominate in worldwide sports like soccer, so make your own up and call yourself world champion when there's only America playing.

Lebron sits out several games with a hangnail on his pinky. D Wade gets taken off the court in a wheel chair for a shoulder injury. Football players have pads, helmets and all kinds of medical staff on hand, for practice.

If they wanted to be boxers, they would have been.

Athletes are getting paid millions of dollars in the major sports.
Even bench warmers make more than most professional boxers.
The boxing model is good for individuals like Mayweather but it can’t grow the sport.
Plus there is no oversight or governance.
Boxing would benefit from there being only 1 boxing organization and 1 belt per weight class:
To bad it won’t ever happen

This is what it comes down to. Americans cant stand being viewed as second best so they always have to make excuses.

Just because you’re a great Foot Ball player or basket ball player didn’t mean you’re going to be a great fighter. Different Sport you also need a Chin and heart for the sport of boxing.

I would agree except for the fact boxing takes SO much discipline, training, and guidance.

Who knopws how those guys would handle getting hit in the face...

                    Boxing is just so different

many former nfl players have actually killed themselves from head trauma issues.....there are more former nfl players that suffer from brain problems/injuries than former fighters

                      you UK sillynannies are clueless

the money shifted in american sports awhile back and thats when you saw a major dropoff in the US Heavies

in the 90s LT, the most feared defensive player in the NFL, made less than 2 mil a year

now what were bowe holyfield and tyson pulling in during that time?

now its shifted...basketball players make crazy money....plus sneaker deals...and nfl guys make realllly good money and have sponsorship deals with athletic apparell brands

its become harder and harder to make real good money in boxing in the US...its easy to get it in basketball, baseball and football

anyway...we'll see whos inferior if your boy hearn ever grows a nutsack

we are inferior to no one
