There’s always a risk in the HW division

I don’t think it’s about being greedy it’s about knowing your value and I no one is going to pay you like you pay yourself

Everyday on this board all the UK fans scream how big of a star AJ is. He’s the biggest name in the sport he fills stadiums fighting nobodies , he has more sponsors then he knows what to do with

    How is he not ready

At this point what does Hearn bring to the table financially that AJ couldn’t get being independent?

And yeah his paydays are large but if your in position ( and in my opinion he is ) to make all the $ from the PPV, Gate , Sponsors , Foreign rights , merchandise , food and beverage sales why not do it

Mayweathers was making decent $ with Top Rank ( not AJ $ but he wasn’t as popular) but he didn’t start breaking the bank until he went independent why would this be any different

Joseph Parker came out to the media and said 50-50 at first and a whole lot of other disrespectful stuff but that fight is happening. Bull**** excuses that alot of people will run with.
          Exactly this^^^^

You can't put the truth in front of fanboys though, they don't care

Beyontay is like Adonis with irrelevant manager.
Managers say one thing, but overridden by these PBC fighters.
Dibella is an event manager, that's all Haymon needs.
Wilder doesn't need Shelly Winkel, especially if Beyontae continues to negotiate thru the media and keeps saying 50/50.
If you have a wife, make her your manager.
            Ask Tim Bradley.

I think you need to google Finkel and realize the work he’s put in the last 30+ years being associated with some of the sports biggest names

I swear every post of yours I read I become more convinced that you are either a child or mentally re.tarded most likely both

I don't get this need to go solo like Floyd BS. The only reason Floyd went solo was because he felt Arum didn't promote him properly and thought he could do a better job himself.

Eddie said they'll be announcing an extension to their current deal anyway so no point discussing it.

                  How is it BS ?

Eddie said it so it’s the gospel , Eddies a proven liar why wouldn’t he say he’s got a extension with his his cash cow lined up

If AJ was smart ( and I think he is ) he’d go independent sometime in the future and tell Eddie to suck a d.ick or just pay him a flat fee like Mayweather did to GB

You don’t get the need for a fighter who is the position to make all the $ themselves doing it
Very few fighters can be in that position if your one of the lucky few who are capatalize on it .

that’s the difference between Floyd making 100+ for a fight and Manny topping out at 25 mil at best sometimes when they fought the same opponent

The reason Floyd went solo was because he was smart enough to know that if he was independent he could get all of the $ and wouldn’t have to break off a large % with anyone else and fight who he wanted when he wanted l. Yeah he wasn’t promoted to his full potential with TR but even if he was he wouldn’t be earning anywhere close to what he did if he stayed with TR

Look at Manny almost had the same drawing power as Mayweather generated roughly in the same ballpark as him

Didn’t take home anywhere close to Mayweather $ wise

Now being used by TR who want to either use him as a undercard fighter to sell their PPV to prop up Crawford or feast their young stars on him hoping he gets sh.it kicked so they can take his baton

Not wanting AJ to go independent and make all the $ for himself is a real sucker mentality. He’s a big enough star that he could and should

                  There’s no reason he shouldn’t

His dad was a clown as well, tbh Eddie is probably a better promoter than Barry.
The truth is, neither of them are genuine boxing men, they’re just “business men”. If you asked them who Henry Armstrong was, they’d probably say he was the first man on the moon.

I think there's a couple of significant differences in the two situations. Mayweather was older, he was further into his career, already talking host first retirement.

He was also brought up in a boxing family, he knew the business from an early age.

Joshua started far later and is still learning. He's done very well for himself with Matchroom and they both understand his value to them.

He's making very good money and he has the experience of Matchroom and their organisation to do some of the heavy lifting and crucially allow him to focus on the fighting.

He can dip his toe in the water and learn the business and maybe towards the end of his career he can make the maximum from promoting himself. I think however that he's more likely to have the promoters role in mind for his post fight career.
