    Roid Jones, Jr's latest lie.

Ole Roid just can't help himself. He's still his own worst enemy.

Steroids cheat, cherrypicking ducker, and pathological liar Roid '7 titles' Jones yet again blatantly lies, about HBO making an imaginary $5m offer to world light-heavyweight champion Dariusz Michalczewski to box Jones in America. The truth is Michalczewski had no problem traveling to America (and there's nothing to suggest otherwise), yet Jones never made one single offer to box Michalczewski. It was the exact opposite; Roid refused all offers to box Michalczewski in Germany. Fact.

Roid then foolishly brings up an old Michalczewski losing to Gonzalez (a decision which Michalczewski deserved to win), then claims he'd probably lose a decision in Germany yet fails to mention U.S. judging against foreign boxers. Double standards? Clearly Roid hasn't even seen Michalczewski-Gonzalez, or Maske-Hill, & Eubank-Rocchigiani.

Finally, going full circle and inadvertently confirming he ducked Michalczewski altogether, Roid openly admits to pricing himself out of challenging Michalczewski in Germany.

...not to mention he would've first had to get off the PEDs to pass an overseas drug test.

This stuff will overshadow Jones' reputation forever.

I like Roy Jones. In his prime he was as good as anybody I ever saw. He fought lots of good fighters including all time greats Hopkins and Toney. Nobody can fight ever possible good challenger. There will always be a few guys some critics will say they should have fought.

You clearly did not follow the situation closely like I did AT THE TIME!

FACT: Murad Muhammad went to Germany to negotiate a fight in Germany between the two and DM's promoter and Universum head Klaus Peter Kohl wanted to pay DM double what they were offering Jones!

FACT: DM was scheduled to fight top 10 David Telesco on ESPN to build his brand in the US and Marty Mulcahy even showed the scheduling of the fight on his fight schedule at fight news dot com. DM pulled out because there was not enough money. This was during the time when Telesco was on a winning streak that led him to a position as a top 10 contender.

FACT: In 2001, Roy's advisor Brad Jacobs, met with Kerry Davis VP for HBO, and they tried desperately to make the fight.

Peter Kohl who was DM's advisor was never available to sit down and discuss terms. He was also never available via phone, and he wouldn't even name a figure to get the ball rolling. Eventually, HBO was able to make a 5 million offer to DM and Kohl and DM turned it down, despite the fact that DM only made 1-1.5 million per fight in Germany.

FACT: HBO also proposed the idea of a double header to hype the fight. A lot of U.S. fans had hardly seen DM fight, so HBO wanted to put both fighters on the same bill, to stir interest in a fight. This was turned down by Kohl. If DM and Kohl had been serious about a fight, they never would have turned down that opportunity. They didnt want to be on a Roy Jones card. Instead they went on to fight Hall, Harmon and De Grandis.

It was pretty evident that it made more sense for Michalczewski to travel to the US to fight the P4P #1. Did Michalczewski ever even fight outside of his country? Anyhow, Roy is an ATG and Michalczewski is hardly remembered these days.

There never was an offer for DM to fight Roy for 5 m. There was an offer for a slot on a Roy Jones undercard for less money than a standard defense would net DM in Germany and most importantly: Even if DM won that undercard fight there still was no guarantee that Roy would fight subsequently.
