Your spot on we seem to care more then the people with power to change. I'm all for the hair testing heck they'd be able to trace cheerios in jcc Jr system from 2012 during the buildup to the martinez fight all he done was shadowbox in his pants and eat cheerios. But on a serious note its alot more thorough and I think thats the best non invasive measurement of testing that could be done year round.
Who here has an interest in cleaning up the sport?

I respect that you do. I'm just being honest. As much as a take shots at and joke about Manny, never once have I been watching a fight and thought he may be on PED's. I just watch the fight.Big Dunn,
I'm with you up until you said you don't ever think about fighters on PEDS while watching a fight. I do think about it. Maybe because i'm presently in the sport. What's scary to me is that people are juicing way before they become a household name. What really has me concern is that I currently train a bunch of amatuer fighters & there is no testing being done in those bouts or tournaments. It would devastate me if one of my guys get seriously hurt fighting against some well touted amateur boxer who's juicing. Now that I think of it, it can easily be done.
Lord have mercy!
Very good point about PED's and the amateurs.
I want the sport cleaned up. I just think the money the events make makes everyone turn a blind eye. They weren't going to stop Floyd/Manny because of the IV anymore than they will Canelo/GGG because of his positive test given the staggering amounts the city, state and individual en****** make.Comment

I share your concern although I mention testing for higher level championship boxers the only reason I haven't included amatuer and lesser known pros is purely because of cost I know the money generated from top level fights can cover testing costs whereas the ams or pros just starting out probably can't afford year round testing. Koba-Grozny made me aware of this I was all for all boxers tested but he made me aware its not realistic cost wise.Big Dunn,

I've been reading around and the excuse they say they cant implement hair sample testing is its too expensive. there are ways to cheat urine, saliva and blood. but hair? you're getting caught. clenbuterol has half life of like 36 hours. since canelo got caught it wont be detected in blood or urine. the question is was canelo caught at the end or beginning of his clen cycle.Your spot on we seem to care more then the people with power to change. They are lying about the expense in fact it probably costs less then urine n blood. And if they werent greedy bastards they could use some of the sanctioning fees to pay for the hair testing in seems they don't want to be out of pocket from a boxer sitting on the sidelines for a while having tested positive.I've been reading around and the excuse they say they cant implement hair sample testing is its too expensive. there are ways to cheat urine, saliva and blood. but hair? you're getting caught. clenbuterol has half life of like 36 hours. since canelo got caught it wont be detected in blood or urine. the question is was canelo caught at the end or beginning of his clen cycle.Comment
