Who here has an interest in cleaning up the sport?

As a follow on from the petition I started asking for all championship level boxers to be tested year round. I just wanted to say thank you to the 5 supporters so far.

There is more to be done I've targeted the main orgs but i don't have much of a presence on social media so I wanted to know of any of you support my aim and would feel obliged to share and get some attention from the orgs.

Ps I've had one idiot from on here bj12 I believe slander ggg on my petition which is ridiculous my petition is for all championship boxers it's not a reference to canelo but the well being of athletes who risk enough health in an already dangerous sport. Here is the link

In reality no one has an interest in cleaning up the sport. A small % of fans, writers, boxers, promoters will talk a lot and do very little. Other than that it's all about making money and getting people to watch. If steroids helps accomplish that it benefits everyone involved

It's wrong though joey ain't it, I'd love to do something about it but I'm not equipped for the job no single person is but If I or anyone else can garner more attention collectively and get a few of us on board we might have a bigger voice. It's easy for people that don't box to not worry about steroids but when all is said and done there will be alot of boxers with failing health if not death before there 50s from the damage they've had from enhanced opponents.

I care but I am also a realest. These big fights generate millions of dollars. if they stop the fight it isn't just the fighters that get paid-its the hotels, casinos, police, extra staff, hookers, drug dealers, t shirt guys, etc etc.

So I am with you that the sport needs to be cleaned up but to be honest I've never thought about a guy being on PED's while i watched a fight.

It's tough to monitor and test the entire sport perhaps a good solution for example with the Canelo case is that Canelo and any 1 time offender should have to do full year-around random drug testing outside of training camp. If they feel a guy or two in their division may be cycling like they were then they can pay for that fighters tests.

A refusal to do any test at that point should result in a lengthy ban perhaps 2 years. I think that would be a good start.

              lets be real.

nobody cares. all they care about is WHO gets caught, perfect example is the floyd fans.

lets not act like everyone is for a cleaner sport.

                  Clenelo fans dont...
                  roid mayweather fans dont..
                  smackquiao fans dont
Anthony juiceshua fans dont.. btw i dont have an opinion on any of these i just find the names funny.

Basically any and every boxer either has will or is doing it in the eyes of the fans and there'll never be such thing as a clean sport of boxing whilst the orgs are around protecting their own interests.

I think fighters should be more outspoken about the issue would be more chance of being listened too.
