Boxing will never be as popular as the NBA or NFL until we get some real reporters with integrity covering the sport. I can't imagine someone as personally biased as Larry Merchant being hired to ever announce an NBA game, and Thomas Hauser spent his entire career writing propaganda for Bob Arum fighters. ****ing Fat Dan is the best ESPN would do. The boxing media is just sad.

Brian Kenny was CLEARLY biased against Floyd for years and you know it, as was Osuna or whatever that guy's name is. All of them said that Manny was a threat and Floyd was afraid of him. After Floyd embarrasses Manny over 12, they backtrack.
Floyd's given interviews where he's been grilled - but fairly. Like when he was asked by Jim Gray about when his next fight was, or why his dad was riding him after the fight.
But you guys already know, Floyd was about those undefeated or lesser defeated fighters in his later career who were draws or in the media for something. Even Guerrero who was on the P4P list despite people calling him a bum.
That would be all well and fine, but it took Floyd years and years until Manny was not the same fighter, to finally quiet the naysayers. He definitely wasn't the same fighter who beat Cotto and Hatton, and Floyd's perceived stalling tactics just added validity to what Brian Kenny's main points were to begin with, because when the fight finally took place, Floyd fought as if he was scared of Manny all those years. Nothing but running and clinching, and that was a Manny who had already been sparked out by Marquez. Brian Kenny was definitely spot on with his skepticism about Floyd fighting Marquez as well.
There's no such thing as being grilled fairly.Comment

Wasn't it you that claimed he was ducking Mosley and then after he fought him, you said Mosley was over the hill and it was a cherry pick??
It went from the fight everyone wanted to see...to you claiming it was a cherry pic
I'm confused. Did everyone want to see a cherrypick?Comment

Floyd proved you wrong when you kept saying he was ducking Mosley, didn't he?
