Kind of funny how these "freak" events like Canelo's contaminated meat and Floyd's IV all happened around the biggest fights of their career...

There's no great lie without an amazing story behind it.

A good butcher would know something like that.

Of course there's a human element so no way to know if somebody was lying, but if these guys are a family of butchers I just find that to be a stretch, even if you took Mexico to be the most corrupt, shythole ever.

Somewhere down the line he's gotta know a guy that's raising cattle the right way. If he doesn't someone in his family has to. Its Canelo we're talking about, Mexico's fighting pride. I'm sure people would be bending over backwards to have their cow slaughtered for a Canelo camp.

being that this is a problem in mexico and you keep repeating it, why wasnt canelo more careful then if its such a big problem in mexico?????????????

so canelo living in mexico, knew about the bad meat here, nfl players getting popped left and right, yet he still wasnt cautious about it?
Dummy knowing about the problem doesn't mean you have the ability to detect good meat from bad meat when you buy it. If it were that easy then top restaurants like the ones that made NFL player test positive wouldn't of bought it in the first place. Again this is a huge problem in Mexico because NOBODY knows which farms have it and don't, no standards and regulations. Butcher, restaurant, grocery store, etc they are not the ones raising the animals and know everything that is going on the farm. You acting like it's shopping at Walmart and you can look at the back of the label and see all the ingredients for that meat to easily tell. That's not what goes on and why Mexico has this problem with nobody knowing what's in the meat when they buy it from the farm and slaightethouses. These farms are don't disclosing the fact they are using it.

they own meat markets. They should know where they're getting the meat from and should know which farms are known for injecting the cows and which aren't. This is known information. It's not random as to which farms do this and which don't. If in doubt, the fighter is a multi millionaire, import the beef from the US or from the ones in Mexico that are known to be clean. There's absolutely no excuse as to why this should happen other than ******ity.

"Most major supermarkets and restaurant chains buy their beef from 117 large private slaughterhouses with on-site federal inspectors who conduct rigorous testing of meat for contamination."

              and

"Like the United States, Mexico has a two-tiered system of slaughterhouses, one tier geared partially toward higher-end consumers and for export. All beef for export comes from these slaughterhouses, where inspectors are always on site to conduct random tests for 120 or so possible contaminants. Large supermarket chains in Mexico like Wal-Mart, Soriana, La Mega and Chedraui buy meat only from these slaughterhouses and display a tag on packages to assure food safety."

The reason UKAD did a deal with Fury was because they accepted that leaving it so long - 15 months - before charging him meant that he couldn't possibly defend himself by having the meat and supplements he was using at the time tested for nandrolone contamination.

That excuse doesn't apply to Canelo. If he thinks he ate contaminated meat, then go to the person who supplied him with it and test their stock - simple.

If VADA had suddenly announced that Canelo tested positive for clen while training for Amir Khan, and they'd only just now decided to say something about it, I would be screaming BULL**** just as loudly as I did when UKAD pulled the same stunt with Fury!
