This is a strange choice of sparring partner. I would've thought the idea is to attempt to replicate the style of the guy you are facing. Parker and Takam are polar opposites and stature and style.

Pretty good sparring partner. The guy is durable and rugged. With headgear on, he'll push Joshua more. Pretty sure Takam didn't get knocked OUT with headgear on like another Ostrich'd legged Heavyweight, so he should survive the sparring sessions.

I would be very careful with headgear here. Takam is tough but also comes head first at times.

The fact he got Takam in for sparring sounds like to me someone is getting a little scared lol

Don't blame him thought way more pressure on him to win because if he loses would mean he lost to the king of pies that would be embarrassing for him

He is scared? How about top heavyweights tend to spar better quality opponents... especially for a unification fight...

Never really understood it when people have said this. Joshua clearly dominated that fight. He took a few shots (it is a boxing match after all), but nothing that really troubled him and he won literally every round including knocking Takam down.

The stoppage was total bull**** and probably to protect Joshua's 100% KO record, but Takam didn't give Joshua problems.

I find it funny when people say Takam did great. He showed heart and kept trying, but AJ won everyone round. AJ clearly did better than Parker did...

AJ did suffer a bit with a head to nose clash which he showed pain for, but he kept his composure and won pretty much every round.

The stoppage was a typical bad British one if I am honest though.
