Never say never tho. Kovalev is not as feared as he was a few years ago, and ask Adrien Broner if Haymon is trying to protect every PBC fighter like he seemingly used to. Haymon let Chavez go get a boxing lesson on HBO, why not the loser of Stevenson vs Jack? We know Arum wont be eager to let Beterbiev fight anybody not associated with Top Rank, but Haymon is not quite as stingy as Arum, especially with fighters on the downside.

But yeah. Main Events would probably rather put Kovalev against another ho-hum opponent, so it's not exceedingly likely.

Interesting and I am glad they are getting it set for next fight already.

Keep in mind, Bivol is NOT with Duva and Main Events. Bivol is with World of Box, in Russia. They just partnered up to bring Bivol more exposure in the states.

HBO essentially wants Bivol as their next GGG. I doubt they want to unleash him on Kovalev quite yet...

If they get desperate, I am sure Barrera would want to fight Kovalev now for any money.

For Bivol it is really interesting... on one hand he beat up a legit Top 10 LHW... so what do you do now?

I do think Jack/Child Rapist winner would rather fight Bivol than Kovalev...

Mihalkin could be a decent fight... but here is the thing, as much of a beating as he got from Kovalev... he WAS a top 10 guy and the best available Top 10.

Maybe Gvozdyk for Kovalev? He is managed by Egis so some chance?

For Bivol I would love to see vs Chillemba... that would be a good fight.

Agreed on all points except the last one. I would think Kovalev damaged Chilemba, and Gvozdyk put him out of the game... He is damaged goods and not worthy for Bivol. Eleider Alvarez or Gvozdyk against Bivol would be cool.

... Wonder if Pascal wants to come out of retirement for a third beat down against Kovalev or vs Bivol...

Yep, I knew HBO would pull this crap and let these 2 avoid one another for a while. How about Bivol-Pascal and Kovalev-Valera so we can get two nice D+ match ups...

Bertebiev/Krusher/Bivol are all dream fights that should happen but I doubt any of them will in 2018.

So, Kov has the WBO belt and is supposed to be fighting three times in 2018. Well, given Mr. Warren has such 'good ties' with the WBO and Anthony 'The Beast' Yarde holds their European & Intercontinental straps whilst maintaining a No.2 ranking..

Could this happen in the near Future? I hope so.
