Comments Thread For: Broner's Coach: We'll Beat Jessie Vargas in Spectacular Fashion!

Last week Adrien Broner (33-3, 24 KOs) was in camp training for his April 21st showdown against Omar Figueroa. Then on Sunday it was revealed that Figueroa had pulled out of the fight with an injured rotator cuff. Just 24 hours later he is training for a new opponent and for a fight in a different weight class. Broner will now face former two-division champion Jessie Vargas (28-2, 10 KOs) at a catchweight of 144 pounds.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious to see what happens with this fight even though I expect Vargas to win this fight. Also Vargas didn't look that impressive against Herrera in his last fight so who knows. If AB loses this fight he'll be gatekeeper status, I'd like to see him bounce back but he always seems to do something dumb smh

Dunno, noone ever looks good against herrera. Also broner is already at gatekeeper status and beating vargas won't change that.

Brandon Rios looked good against Herrera...knocked that fool out. This is Aaron Herrera we are talking about. Not Mauricio

Broner has losses against Chino, Porter, Garcia, its not like he lost to some BUMS, and is a 4 Div champion, high KO%, JUST SAYING......

As long as Broner let his hands go he would beat Vargas easily

Broner has no business at 147.

                    Pretty even fight...........Vargas wins

Broner more talented, Vargas more committed to the sport of boxing. I have Vargas winning this fight for that reason. No matter the outcome Vargas comes prepared. He's fought Bradley, Pacquiao and other top opposition. I believe his preparation and confidence in himself will prevail over Broner.
