I like McDonnell. He's up for fighting anyone and is underrated i feel.
I don't give him much of a chance in this one though i must admit.

Really cool fight. Jamie is hugely slept on, remember that he has repeat wins over Tomoki Kameda. He can easily lay claim to being the world’s best Bantam right now, underestimate him at your own peril. He could prove to be a huge banana skin for Inoue, although conversely he also provides Inoue a huge opportunity to showcase just how good he is.

The first fight with Kameda was considered one of the worst robberies of 2015, then the burglar struck again in 2017 vs. Liborio Solis -- even SKY had Solis winning, the WBA was so disgusted by the decision that they ordered a immediate rematch ; Jamie is also coming in dehydrated as he is cutting to much weight to make the limit, he was set to move up to 122 after his bogus win over Solis in the rematch.

If Inoue does not do the job on a drained McDonnell, than that means Inoue is a fraud, considering Solis shut him out and euro-bums Haskins and Edwards managed to get a win over him -- this would be one of the biggest upsets of the year if not THE biggest.

Jamie got courage but I think Inoue is taking this.

Inoue is going to be giving up a lot of size, a lot of reach and will be going up against a strong, durable fighter. This is a true p4p fight, its what the whole idea is based on. Inoue is going to fight size and if he wins, if he looks impressive...heck if he stops him, he is probably the hardest puncher p4p on the planet.

            Cant wait.
In general McDonnell is hugely underrated but you’re massively overrating him saying he’s p4p level when he was beaten pretty clearly by Liborio Solis.
Also stylistically he’s made for Inoue. He’s just too straight forward and basic for him. McDonnell coming forward with the high guard will get lit up by the faster more dynamic Inoue. You make a fair point about Jamie’s physical advantages but he doesn’t really utilise these effectively in the ring, he relies a lot more on toughness, industry, work rate etc and that’s not enough to beat Inoue.
Fair play to McDonnell though he’ll genuinely fight anyone.

No idea how Jamie McDonnell’s going to make bantamweight when he travels to Japan to fight The Monster.

His balls alone must weigh 50lb.

Im gunna go against the grain and vote Jamie to get the win here. Jamie is a 5.10ft Bantom hes huge! Inoue is 5.3ft the size difference will be crazy.

Man, Jamie McDonnell has had some career fought top comp, been to American and now Japan. Even if he loses and all this after suffering back to back defeats against Chris Edwards and Lee Haskins.

He just looks so unimpressive like Dave Coldwell said. Both bros just look so ordinary. Literally all the time. But Jamie is huge at the weight, long, boxes well, and has excellent stamina.

Great first fight at 118 for Inoue, a real test against a guy that's going to dwarf him in size. I'm looking forward to this

Good that it's in Tokyo. Don't want to see anymore robberies if it can be helped.

With that said, this should be a tough and interesting fight for Inoue. There is a significant height and reach advantage here.
