I mean I understand that "contaminated meat" is a big issue in Mexico.
A lot of athletes seem to have a problem with it.
Having said that, one simple question here.
Why do you eat them?
Few months before the big fight, you know there will be drug tests, you know that local meat has possibilities of contamination.
Just why do you eat them.
You take a risk, then you fail, you gotta pay for it.
Luis Nery should have been stripped of his title, Francisco Vargas should have been stripped as well, and Canelo should not be allowed to fight.
It is simply unfair.

I don't think anyone is really buying the contaminated meat story. Canelo got caught and he need to suffer the consequences. PEDs have taken down much bigger athletes than him in other sports. As fans, we all accept the fact that PEDs are rampant in most sports. However, when you get caught, and you're at a level as high as Canelo you need to made an example. Why are only boxers like Ortiz, Povetkin, or Pederson expected to suffer because of a positive test?

Very few boxers do and GGG is not one of them. Donaire is the only one i remember top of my head does year round.

And the WBC/WBA require VADA as soon as fight signed. If your gonna lie, lie on dumber sites....

Golovkin most definitely does do year round VADA testing. Deontay Wilder does it too.

I thought Golovkin had been in the clean boxer program since 2016 or so? Canelo was too at around that time I think but may have dropped out after the Khan fight or after he fell out with the WBC.

Mostly correct. CBP was introduced 2016 and thatīs when Canelo dropped the WBC MW belt.. you do the math.

He was for awhile and then switched over to WBA VADA which is practically word for word written the same as WBC's. They both have to let them know year round where they are and the unannounced test can be either blood or urnine.

This still is highly suspect of Canelo and he should know better. Now he just fed the trolls and thekr out for blood...
