The concentration of Clenbuterol in Alvarez’s body was low, and that is significant, Conte said.

“When they say trace amounts, it’s way down in the parts per trillion,” Conte said. “You have parts per million, parts per billion and then parts per trillion. You have trace and then this would be called ultra-trace concentrations. So do I think this is likely it came from a contaminated meat source? I do.”

Mostly correct. CBP was introduced 2016 and that´s when Canelo dropped the WBC MW belt.. you do the math.

WBA does the same testing so you so the math... BOTH do VADA blood testing year round. You forget WBA is the ones who caught Ortiz last times doe!!!

I thought Golovkin had been in the clean boxer program since 2016 or so? Canelo was too at around that time I think but may have dropped out after the Khan fight or after he fell out with the WBC.

He was for awhile and then switched over to WBA VADA which is practically word for word written the same as WBC's. They both have to let them know year round where they are and the unannounced test can be either blood or urnine.

This still is highly suspect of Canelo and he should know better. Now he just fed the trolls and thekr out for blood...

Alvarez, who is training in his hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico, provided urine samples on Feb. 17 and Feb. 20, and both tests came back positive for trace amounts of clenbuterol, according to the letter VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman sent to those involved on Monday, and obtained by ESPN.

In the ESPN story has a copy of the letter that states the samples were taken in Jalisco, Mexico. So he was definitely in Mexico not colorado.

Not to say he's clean, but I'm buying the contaminated meat story. Unless like someone mentioned, that in prior camps canelo had addrssed this possibility and taken measures to prevent it, if that's true, hard time believing contaminated meat.

Nelo should know source of meat he eats. He should know where animal was born, what age, what farm etc etc. NO excuses
