Unless his team are ***ing ******, it is an easily avoidable risk.

Took me 3 minutes to find some non tainted beef in Mexico.

    RANCHO LAS LUISAS

"Arturo Mateos took over operations in 2007 with goals to convert the ranch into a profitable business with two main objectives in mind - obtaining organic certification and to introduce the famous highest marbling breed into the country."

Wagyu beef associations in general (stemming from the Japs) have very strict rules, otherwise you cannot call it Wagyu. I suspect Asociatión Wagyu Mexicana A.C is no different.
Being avoidable is easy said in hind sight but still doesn't mean he cheated. The NFL player proves the issue isn't just in dirty taco carts like idiots keep saying. The meat problem is wide spread throughtout the country and this player stayed in tourist areas in nice hotels and ate in restaurants and still got traces of this crap in his system. You think any of those restaurants told this guy hey the slaughterhouse we got this meat injects shyt in their meat? Hell do the resturants even know? Unless you are sending someone to go to the farm 24/7 and watch what they doing no way to know 100% what they doing to their meat. Other option is to just import meat from outside Mexico where there are strict standards and refuse to ever eat at any Mexican resturants.

Honestly, fans don't give a flying **** about boxers or MMA fighters taking peds. Fans want to see all-action, hard hitting fights that end in a spectacular knock out. If they just quit all ped testing and let them take whatever, everyone would get more money not paying any testing agency, and fans would enjoy the fights more. If Wlad-AJ and Wilder-Ortiz were both clean fights, imagine if they were allowed to take anything! Most boxers who last show clear, visible signs of brain damage by the end of their career. They already know the risk. And still they choose a profession where grown men attempt to punch them in the face as hard as possible.

If G wants to cancel the fight, he should have that right. But if they believe it was contaminated meat, and G does not object, I don't see why an event making all kinds of people all kinds of money would be canceled.

Finally, it doesn't matter if Canelo was trying to cheat or not. It doesn't matter if the fight should or should not be cancelled. What matter's is if the fight will be postponed or cancelled. By stating in the initial statement that it could be from eating meat in Mexico, they are providing a reason to allow the fight to go on. From the get go. No more dirty tests and/or injuries and the rematch is definitely still on, on May 5th.

If he’s allowed to cheat then surely Golovkin should be extended the same courtesy.

It should be cancelled and frankly I don't buy the tainted meat excuse and even if true its easily avoidable.

He even acknowledges he needs to throw more and be in better shape to do so. What better drug than Clen?
GGG shouldn't fight him and should take it to caught and fight bjs instead.

Agreed, but one would think that somone, somehow, somewhere - in his team or friends/family would know this?
I guess from now on he really 'won't fuck around' with what he eats, because there is only one person responsible for what goes into an athlete's body in respect to drug tests. In practice it may not be the case but for drug testing accountability, it has to be. We can't ban Canelo's mother from competing (if it was her fault).

That is why 34 players from a team in Australia got banned even though it was a club supplements program. THEY were deemed responsible for what went into their body.

Yes it should. Punishing cheating is more important than any one fight. Canelo has cheated. He needs to pay the price.

He won't however. Too much money to be made. Boxing will look the other way and the message will go out that you can't test positive, unless your fights make a lot of money.

Canelo usually trains out of San Diego and Chepo Reynoso prepares all of this meals. I'm not saying Canelo is a cheat but it don't look good! Non training he walks at 175-180 and that's being conservative.

Luis "Pantera" Nery is a Mexican boxer who held the WBC bantamweight title from August 2017 to February 2018. Nery became a world champion by defeating Shinsuke Yamanaka. He had also won The Ring's bantamweight title, but he was stripped by The Ring after he tested positive for zilpaterol. Nery blamed contaminated meat.

Prior to the Erik Morales Danny Garcia rematch on October 20, 2012, the USADA conducted two random drug tests in Oct, 2012.

Morales was tested positive for use of substance Clenbuterol, a weight-loss drug, it reduces fat deposits and is believed to increase muscle mass. Although the New York State Athletic Commission was notified 24 hours in advance of the Morales Garcia bout regarding positive drug test results, the legal process was still ongoing. The NYSAC allowed the fight to proceed.

There have been many more cases!

Not sure if nelo meat was tainted. But his win surely will be. As long as nelo knows the score. Can nelo motivate himself to perform when people will be mocking his win.

But ggg should let fight continue but it might shorten career. We can assume ggg is fighting a light heavyweight now. Nelo punches harder and is immune to pain. And nelo won’t gas.
                      So it’s gggs call
