Was Wladimir Klitschko ever ranked pound for pound number 1, despite ACTUALLY cleaning up the division, becoming the number 1 heavyweight in the world and remaining the number 1 heavyweight in the world for a decade?

What makes you think Deontay Wilder, with far less accomplishments deserves to be ranked as a number 1 pound for pound boxer when Wladimir Klitschko with far more accomplishments didn't?

Heavyweights don't belong in the pound for pound lists, period!

I don't know about being P4P #1 but he does get a lot of undue hate.

The man is literally fighting for his daughter's well being.

They make Oscar nominated movies about stories like his.

Lennox Lewis was never even top 5 at any point and I don't think Wlad or Vitali ever made the top 10 or if they did right at the bottom.

I've been hearing a lot about how Wilder is a masterfully skilled boxer, has supreme ring IQ, amazing resume and would defeat basically any Heavyweight of the last 30-40 years with ease. I don't think he'd get that same recognition if he was from Europe or Asia. In fact his skill set would be ridiculed the way Loma's or GGG's is and his resume was be ridiculed the way Pacquaio's is.

if Wilderoisksjkyz was a 40-0 heavyweight that just defeated the most avoided and feared heavyweight in recent memory he would already be P4P #1 on ESPN.

          PROVE ME WRONG.

Wilder's win over Ortiz shts all over GGG's resume. debate this I dare you...

ESPN ranked GGG#1 after his gift vs DJ.

Deontai Wilderoisksjkyz is clearly P4P #1 with a bullet.
Stop it. He struggled with a 40 year old and was almost stopped. Just lol. If it was ggg beating someone like that, he'd get no credit.

Wow, speaking of honest confessions! One thing I would say is that if he did have that sir name Wilderoisksjkyz and was of another persuasion; Then yes, he would definitely be more popular in the U.S. No he would be the most popular athlete in the world. Hell he would even make boxing mainstream again because he is a fan friendly fighter with a crowd pleasing style.
