Comments Thread For: Hearn: Kell Brook Would Beat Errol Spence at 154, No Question

Kell Brook is on course for a showdown against Amir Khan at the back end of this year after a spectacular second-round knockout of Sergey Rabchenko at the Sheffield Arena. Brook has long coveted a bout against his British rival but those prospects seemed to diminish when he followed up a fruitless jump to middleweight to challenge Gennady Golovkin in September 2016 by losing his IBF welterweight title to Errol Spence Jr last May.

Spence will break Brook's eye socket at 154.

Hearn does Brook no favours with stuff like this im a fan of Brook but just let it go Spence was the better man full stop he might be even more dangerous at 154

Couldn’t agree more. Spence is really a 154 threat. He can easily do 147 with his chiseled physique but he is basically like a Lara at 154. I’m sure his power is probably better at 154. Hearn seriously doesn’t believe what he’s saying, does he?

Would like to see this fight again if Brook gets a belt at 154.

          Both want it.

And Kell Brook wouldn't be better at 154? Errol Spence won the first fight fair and square but Kell Brook had to have a 20 week training camp just to make weight. Anyone who knows anything about training knows you would be overtrained if you trained that long but he had no choice to make 147. Brook was outboxing Spence first half of that fight. Errol then took over second half of that fight with the combination of the pace he set, Brook's eye socket broken and a lack of gas in the tank due to making weight. Hearn is just saying that to make noise as any good promoter would but anyone who doesn't think a Brook v Spence rematch is competitive at 154 doesn't know boxing.

Brook was comfortably holding his own and maybe even the slightly better of it before his tank emptied suddenly which was clearly a result of being weight drained. At 154 it would be a great fight and one Brook certainly has a chance of winning this was always going to be his best weight and it will only make him fitter and more powerful, at welterweight he has been fighting with one hand tied behind his back for years. The fact he looked good and not out of place at Middleweight says a lot.

Brook fans are delusional. Spence broke Brook down with relentless pressure and punishment. The fight was even until Spence wore him out. Then it was an old fashioned beating from pillar to post. Then Brook had to be smart and save himself from permanent blindness. Spence stops Brook at any weight. The only thing Brook is going to do at 154 is get his face broken again by Charlo.

Hearn has to be insane, He really must want to end what is left of this kid Kell Brook's career Leave it alone man! You are the reason why his career is going to be shortened. You shaved many years off his prime by cashing him out against GGG; A fight that shouldn't have happened in the first place because Golovkin was naturally larger, stronger and two weight divisions north of him. What a lousy promoter Eddie Hearn is?
