    The Art of Clinching

It seems like African Americans excel at clinching more than the rest.

When wilder was hurt he wrapped his arms around Ortiz like fuucking glue and never let go, floyd does the same Broner etc etc. meanwhile Ortiz when hurt didn’t even try it(he should have).

I’ve never seen Mexicans do it as much but ***** it’s important especially when it come to surviving when hurt.

I swear it seems like bruthas actually fuucking train At clinching when hurt I think they go over it in the gym.

clinching when you're hurt is an art! it's one of the keys to surviving a storm. and yes' it's something you learn to do! props to wilder for having a relatively light resume without a ton of big punchers on it and being able to weather a storm like he did.

you guys must have seriously started watching boxing yesterday.

you seriously have a problem wiht a fighter clinching when he's nearly unconscious? you're sick and ******ed.

and as for the skin color thing, have you watched a single wladimir klitschko fight?

There’s exceptions of course but think about the majority of fighters that survive by clinging to you when hurt, most are black fighters without a doubt.

And like I said it’s not me bashing them it’s actually what one must do when hurt and they seem to do it the best.

Mexicans are easily the worst punchers in the game.

It comes from getting taught how to smother when someone is trying to overwhelm you in a hurry. They don't sit around the gym knocking fighters silly then start yelling clinch motha****a clinch!

Yes I have noticed it and I hated watching some master clinchers like Broner. They need strong fast young referees who will break the clinch up immediately and give the boxer who hurt them a chance to finish them off. Some slow old referees just stand there and watch while the hurt boxer bear hugs his way out of danger by giving his head time to clear and get his senses back. Sometimes these clinchers just clinch to stop the other guy from hitting them while they get a rest. Berto and Andre Dirrell are big time clinchers. Sometimes holding on for dear life is a smart thing for a hurt boxer to do. It might have helped Ortiz last night and Mayweather did that when Mosley hurt him.

That just isn't true. There are Mexican boxers who can't punch and other Mexicans who punch harder than hell. Try telling Khan that Canelo can't punch or explain to Pacquiao what a weak puncher Marquez is. Richardo Lopez, Chavez Sr., Ruben Olivares and Saldivar were famous punchers just to name a few. There are lots of hard punching Mexicans fighting right now.
