Sh^t man I used to think Koncz was a double agent for Arum to get things done Arum wanted done, but now I think this mfer is just fleecing Manny some sorta way or not guiding him correctly towards a better direction. Not an all the way fair comparison, but compare the work that Koncz did for Pacquiao to the work that Haymon did for Mayweather or Contorsi did for Maidana.

Put the right folks in place to make sure that the basics were handled properly (taxes are paid, paydays managed and invested), keep the camp small, and leave the sport never needing to work another day of your life.

Pacquiao's political party is an ally to the current government, unlike the previous one. His tax issues have all been settled by his attorneys. You can't run for a government position with tax issues, anyways. Otherwise, it will run counter to whatever you promise during campaign seasons. In other words, you won't get elected.

There's been nothing written anywhere about any settlement of tax issues anywhere, and it's going to be pretty darn difficult for a "politician of the people" like Duterte to simply let one of the most high-profile tax cheats simply have his debt absolved because he is a political ally. Nice try, though

His tax issues were him not wanting to fight in NY because of the taxes that are deducted. Which is why he preferred to finish his career doing a world tour fighting overseas to avoid taxes being taken out.

It was right before the MacGregor fight that Floyd had to ask the IRS for an extension for unpaid taxes. Uncle Sugar wants their 30% cut when you only fight in the states.
