Ortiz was also old and Jennings was his best win.

    Also inactive.

    Also has a heart condition.

    Shockingly out of shape.

Never fought for a world title let alone held one.

    Struggled with Malik Scott.

Had Deontay out of there in 7th when ref should arguably have stopped the fight.

Was Wlad past his best? Probably, but it turned out to be one of his best performances in recent years, that and the Pulev fight.

But that Wlad beats any version of Ortiz, period.

    Get some perspective.
You're talking about him trolling...!!!??? This is a list of excuses and Joshua **** blowing at its finest! Lmao...

    • they're both good wins, theres no point in comparing them in my opinion.

Just out of interest, how did you rate Ortiz's last three performances prior to the Wilder fight? They were the reason that some observers felt that age was catching up with him.

        • Ortiz has not been good enough to win a title in one of the weakest era's ever and yet he was able to dominate Wilder for large stretches. It's an ok win. Joshua-Wladimir wasn't exactly a great win given his age but Wlad at least had been a dominant and more skilled fighter hence multiple reigns, defenses etc; Wlad has won more unification fights than Ortiz has won title fights for some perspective.

I rated those performances as uneven. They were totally not good at all. Actually they were horrible.

However, someway and somehow, Deontay seemed to bring out the very best in the "Real King Kong" Luis Ortiz. He brought out the Ortiz of old; That monster killer instinct.

I have to admit, he put on a Hell of a performance for 50 year man. He was out boxing wilder, while beating him both to the jab and the punch.

It wasn't until Wilder began catching and countering Ortiz in some of those exchanges, that he was able to turn that fight around. I like so many boxing fans at that time, believed that Deontay Wilder was on his way to losing his first professional bout.

However, by a miracle and an act of God, he was able to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat.

However, arguably speaking Wlad was washed up and past his prime by the time he fought AJ. Which was evidenced by the fact that when he hurt and dropped Joshua but failed to finish or put him away; Was a sign that he was done and that father time had finally caught up to him. The younger version of Wlad would have finished Anthony Joshua easily; Just like Deontay Wilder would have, if he had Anthony in a similar predicament.

              • Lost ten pounds from stomach flu during training camp.

Ortiz fought a skeleton in there but I still got the job done.

Now I'm healthy, getting stronger each day and Joshua in trouble!

Yeah totally! Saw Wilder's granite chin on display when he could barely breathe in the 7th haha. Thank the ref too for giving him extra 20 seconds to recover in the 8th round. Against AJ you better hope AJ doesn't connect flush, coz he hits harder than Molina and Ortiz. And don't choke on Wilder's n uts fella

Wilder's signature win is no better or worse than Joshua's.
Why do you believe Klitschko hits harder than Ortiz? They both have an equal 77% Knockout ratio, but Ortiz was able to stop Bryant Jennings after Jennings went 12 full rounds with Klitschko. Stamina wise, Ortiz did not show poor conditioning against Wilder. On the contrary, Ortiz showed great footwork, and he was able to maintain his fairly steady pace throughout the fight. Both Joshua and Wilder put up meaningful victories over older opponents. Joshua gets the credit he deserves for his performance. Don't try to take Wilder's due credit away from him now. Believe me, I know it sucks when the fighter you thought was a bum proves you wrong.
