I understood what he said. I was referring to his expression in general, he looked less sure than usual. I don't know to explain, but that's how I perceived him (I could be wrong, of course).

This does not mean that he can't beat any of the fighters usually mentioned with his name. Then again, Mikhalkin was an awkward style, and Kovalev dealt with it in a way or another.
