Dr and ref bought wilder 18 extra seconds of recovery time with a BS timeout

    Did anyone else notice that?

Ref and dr could have checked wilder in his corner.

They bought him more time to recover from being hurt .

I couldnt wait for the next round to start and when that happened paulie even said something.

    Something was fishy.
This was like a spit mouthpiece by the promotion.

This is standard procedure in NY now due to the Magomed payout.

They always do it after the minute break is up as well.

Annoying but it wasnt out of nowhere. Wilder looked ****ed. They were right to check him

      Standard in N.Y.

Ortiz was given extra 5 seconds to. And KD in 2nd wasn't counted.

Nothing fishy at all. The cornerman gets his minute to work on his fighter and the doctor inspects it after if need be. That’s how it is in NYC at least. Same happened at MSG during Bivol-Barrera and Kovalev-Mikhalkin. Doctor checked up after the break, never during.

It was blatant cheating. And since when was it standard to check if the ring was wet? Was that part of the new procedure too?

Paulie M. is from Brooklyn, NY himself and he know the NY commission's rules, he was stunned.

He loooked at him for maybe 10 seconds and then they got back right to it.
Overblown and Had no effect on the outcome.
They gave Ortiz just as much time to recover and missed on of his knockdowns.

As stated, New York is a different beast, but Paulie was off. He thinks it's only when there's a cut, which is Vegas rules.

In New York, because of Abdusalomov, a ringside doctor has 100% independent authority to check whichever fighter at any time they choose. Most of the time it's only off of unanswered shots, which Wilder was taking that round.
