i'm not trying to make excuses for Paulie and say he would have won without those things, but you can't deny that the cards were completely stacked against him. it will make for a very interesting rematch IMO
nobody wants to see a rematch of this, ****en paulie got his face broken

i've had the pleasure to meet paulie in AC, and the guy won me over, ****en cordial and kind as i never expected, but as a fighter, right now A) he never came close to winning this fight and B) he doesn't need to be, as hes professed, thinking about miguel cotto.

Why? because you said I should? Yeah, I'll take that under advisement

paulie said in the interview with 'the scene' that he was going to see Cotto again in the future. not anytime soon but there will be a paulie-cotto 2 someday, and hopefully without the early weigh/ring issues, it should prove to be interesting. i would watch, anyway. but i agree, this time he was beaten down

now, i've heard about this ring-gate - tell me - does ANYONE know how small this ring was? what, did paulie think he was going to get a 25' ring? the ring looked to be normal sized at about 19' or 20' feet.

I don't think a second fight will happen. On his comeback he will lose another fighter. Paul is not that good. The best I could give him is a C-.

like i said, me being an amateur i tend to score for da fighter throwin punches in bunches! so im kinda agreeing dat i didnt score da fight in a profesional scoring way, so yea maybe i am rong!

but yes he did box wel! he didnt run but stood his ground threw his combos of 2's and 3's and moved out of harms way! whereas as cotto was loadin up single shots so many times!

ders only 1 review of da fight dat iv seen dat isnt biased and dat is from secondsout.com. they said it came down to da last 2round which cotto dominated and therefore won him da fight!

and no way am i a nut hugger! u can c in al my previous posts i say wa i feel and dnt join da band wagon! and another note, i like cotto, he looks for a challenge (like wen he fought unbeaten brazilian puncher Kelson Pinto etc) and has an excitin style! i just feel dat if paulie wasnt as ****y ppl not not have bin so harsh on him wen reviewin da fight! dats al!

                safe

youre right man, but thats what happened so nothing you can do about it...cotto won the fight

and most of the people on this site have their heads up cottos ass

Oh yeah we have our heads up cotto's ass. It's our opinion. Listen the weigh in excuse will linger into the abyss. The fact of the matter is that Paulie and his "team" could've refused the fight when the weigh in issue became an issue. He could've easily said I wont fight if there isn't another weigh-in. Regardless if cotto was the champ. He does hae some say so. The problem was that he actually though he could beat Cotto. Which became his down fall. There are no excuses, he got his ass handed to him un a bloody platter. If there ever is a Cotto-Paulie 2, Cotto wil ko hi this time around

Stop bichin bout th weight issue. Pauli knew Cotto was gonna be heavier as did everyone. That was pretty much what this fight was about, Cotto the bigger stronger guy vs Paulie the fast slick boxer. Paulie knew Cotto was bigger and stronger and was suppose to get and school the "******" and "slow" Cotto as his trainer put it. Problem is Cotto was much better than Paulie thought and was able to get his hands on Paulie easier than expected. Another thing i want to talk about is that cut. Man i have watched that fight lik 10 times now and never seen a clash of heads, i hav rewinded it and played it many times too i never seen a headbut. I think Cotto cut him with that right hand he landed right when the fight started. Either way Cotto won the fight and that is that.

Yea and the author of this thread is a joke hahahaha. what a ***in groupie!
