I like Malignaggi he is a great boxer trying to cash in.

And I think the guy got a point. The media wants Cotto to win because they trying to buidup cotto hype to be the next Trinidad.

Another thing it Malignaggi lost rather than Cotto won. I think he could of have outboxed Cotto or try to go inside and outside.

Trinidad had to deal with a huge ring in the DLH fight, did he complain? Why would Paulie deserve to call the shots anyway? He's not the Champ.

The weigh in was within the rules therefore it was not a cheating tacting, bc cheating is breaking the rules.

you have to distinguish the difference between liking a fighter for his talent/ability, and liking him for his personality. It sounds like you would go gay for him.

Paulie could never beat Cotto. And after the beating he took, I'm actually worried that he will not come back very strong. He fought his heart out and took alot of punishment and sometimes that causes a fighter to loose the fight that he has within him. Often times a fighter is never the same...

after hearing the interview with paulie , i have alot of new found respect for this guy. i think he truly has a point about the weigh in and the phone booth for a ring. i'd love to see the rematch where those weren't the same circumstances

You should probably stop posting now.

Whitaker wasn't feather fisted. Watch a few of his fights where he actually plants his feet and throws a hard power shot and you'll see what i'm saying.

Knocking challengers out with 1 punch in a unified title fight isn't feather fisted. We all know he wasn't a big puncher or anything, but he could throw when he wanted to.

Malignaggi certainly doesn't have Whitakers power.

I agree the weigh-in should have been at the regular time. but I don't think it would have changed the outcome.

just cos hes gota lack of power dnt make him a **** boxer!

hes a PURE boxer and he boxed circles around cotto for da majority of da fight!

and just imagine if da weigh in was later and da ring was bigger! gives u sumfin to think about!

i know im guna get abuse for sayin this but i had him winin da fight 115-114! but i have to say cos im a amateur boxer so i might b biased towards da amatuer boxing style of throwin a high volume of punches! so fair enuf if im rong!

but even tho cotto won, it werent easy by a long shot!

Now whoever had Madicnagging winning has no boxing knowledge whatsoever and is a clear nutt hugger. Cotto de******ized that insync reject. I dont hate Paulie, cause I do agree with one thing. He has alot of heart. he could've quit in the middle of the fight but he choose to fight like a man, so much props. But, to make an excuse afterwards about the weigh in and now the ring is beneath him. There is no excuse he got his ass ripped in two different places. I am sick of these boxers making excuses for losing. like when manny lost the first time to Morales, he said it was due to the gloves, c'mon you lost because he was the better fighter that night. In paulie's case, he put a hell of an GREAT effort but it was clearly not enough. I would prefer hearing him say that he lost b/c he wasn't experienced enough than saying that it was the weight and the ring. Thats just absurd

if you dont think the ring size is a huge mismatch in favor of Cotto you are kidding yourself. a small ring can absolutely make the difference in a fight that has a speed boxer who relies on all that space matched up against a power puncher who wants to corner you. a power puncher will have no trouble finding the speed guy in a tiny ring. the weight def. makes a huge difference too, the fact that Cotto looked weak at the weigh-in and huge the day of the fight, thats just not fair, considering Paulie is already the naturally smaller guy, theres no way Paulie was going to pack on pounds like Cotto who is naturally that size. 10 lbs is the difference between a left hook that scores or a left hook that puts your ass on the canvas. it may seem like little things but they can make the difference. i mean, 5 lbs has been considered huge in fights, Castillo-corrales II comes to mind

i'm not trying to make excuses for Paulie and say he would have won without those things, but you can't deny that the cards were completely stacked against him. it will make for a very interesting rematch IMO

bro - when was he boxing circles around cotto in the fight? yeah, he wasn't right so you had him winning 115-114 cuz he did something you said, that he really didn't do. when did he box dude, he stood in front of cotto just trying to get his jab, one two off before cotto. thats a biased card, an erroneous card. don't fret though, i've been wrong in the past myself, not recently, but in my adolescent years i had to of been
