Comments Thread For: Ortiz: I Almost Had Wilder - If There Were a Few Seconds More!

Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) not only survived the toughest test of his career but also finished the job in spectacular fashion by unleashing a ferocious 10th round assault on Ortiz (28-1, 24 KOs). Wilder floored the Cuban challenger twice in the round, forcing referee David Fields to stop the fight at 2:05 of the round.

That was the best heavyweight fight I have seen in a long time. Better than Joshua vs Klitschko in my opinion. Very exciting. Have a feeling Joshua vs wilder will be more of the same. Maybe Forman vs Lyle type fight.

That was not even one third of Joshua Vs klitschko, there's was like 2 rounds were neither wilder or ortiz did anything but slap jab , and then wilder rushing in with messy punches, ...both Joshua and klitschko knew how to tough it out while using technique

Ya that was the best heavyweight title fight I've seen in a very long time and the best I've ever seen in person. Joshua vs. Klitschko I had to watch on a tablet on a long car trip and I didn't care who won, so I wasn't as emotionally invested, but that was a great fight too.

Joshua and Wilder seem destined to fight a trilogy.

WHY is Wilder allowed to hit in back of the head? 4 punches landed in back of the head in that last seconds of the fight. Watch the replay of the KO.

What if's, what if's... Life doesn't have a rewind and you shouldn't be dwelling on what if's. Move forward. Ortiz should be eyeing the loser of the Joshua-Parker fight. Or face the likes of Povetkin or Pulev. Get back into the mix and forget those what if's.
