Absolutely agree on all points except for the granite chin part. A granite chin implies that a guy can walk through shots without getting hurt. Wilder was clearly hurt. His survival was more about grit, heart and determination. Peace.

He took a good punch but he didn't get hit with anything he didn't see coming.

Excellent point that was made by Holyfield post fight. As Evander stated, it was impressive that he kept his eyes on Ortiz through the whole flurry. He showed some quality there.

His power is not going to be as much of a factor with AJ either. It took TWELVE Rounds for Ortiz to beat Malik Scott yet he almost had Wilder out of there! lol! You are supposed to be a "knowledgeable" fan of the sport.
Wilder entered the ring at 214lbs, throughout the fight he looked liked his perspiration alone was weighing him down. And for his real 1st test, he overtrained and came in too light in an effort to give supporters like me a good show! - and he didn't dissappoint!

If he had the weight like he did in the 1st Stiverne fight (or maybe a little more) he wouldn't have looked so drained & lethargic like he definitely did! Wilder clearly had a training regimen that entailed a lot more calisthenics isometrics & bag work than weightlifting/resistance exercises and that endorphin release seems to have an intoxicating & calming effect that Wilder wants to keep using in camp...

In contrast AJ is CLEARLY affected when he comes in too bulked up, his breathing is heavy during the 2nd 1/2 of fights or after a beautiful barrage of punches...he seems to LOVE his weightlifting & how it "feels" while doing it, so even he might be "stuck" in his preferred exercises during camp....most fighters "lean" towards a favorite. These guys simply are on the opposite side of the spectrum!

We have NO IDEA which Wilder OR Joshua will show up for the BIGGEST FIGHT of their careers when they face each other!! "Nerves" can get the best of any fighter and they might IGNORE better advice from trainers & nutritionists....I think Wilder is a bit guilty of this for Ortiz....Against Parker, AJ might be guilty of too much BULK, thinking he can bowl over the "little man" when he gets in the ring with the SWIFT AGILE champion! That will be his BEST PRIME challenge to date - and we have NO IDEA what weight AJ will SURPRISE us with!

AJ has NOTHING on Wilder except maybe photogenic looks & a Mr. Olympia bod.....but that has NOTHING to do with what goes on in the ring!! A well rounded training regimen for Wilder will be AJ WORST NIGHTMARE & vice versa! But most of all, to me for now anyways, the "mentals" that Wilder possesses are faaar past AJ's! ....Wilder "really" WANTS the BEST RIGHT NOW with the mind set to back it up! AJ "really" at this moment wants MONEY & ADVICE from Hearns......

When AJ finally meets Wilder in the ring he'll be a bulked 270 while Wilder will come in at a slim & trim skeletal remains 198, a totally EQUAL fight for the fans!! Again, on a serious note: AJ aint got NUTHIN' on Wilder, and he & Hearn knows it!! Theyre free to think otherwise after last night, but they'll be clearly DUMB to do so!!!

I wouldn't have ever pulled you up on it, but for the fact that you specifically mentioned that you were a lawyer and could recognise intelligent writing.

Also, the irony of finishing your post with "stay classy" after having bragged about how much money you make is pretty amusing, in my opinion.

You can add skill and reflexes to that list, but I completely agree with you.

Good fight! Ortiz had the right game plan but was gassed in the late rounds and Wilder found the equalizer. Wilder got no skills, we knew that before but he proved that he can take a punch mutch better than i thought. Wilder vs. Joshua would be brutal and now that Wilder can take a punch i think the fight is more even now. I think that would be a brutal war between these two!

Your initial post was made without knowing the context of the exchange. That poster and I have history here. Which is why I mentioned my background.

And obviously the use of "stay classy" is supposed to be ironic

Just lay off the thread policing lol it's not a good use of your time
